How do these foot rests fix in place, are there any pre drilled/threaded holes under the carpet?

I know this was said tongue in cheek, but it is actually true.

The better the restraints the faster you will be. I remember my SRT having a very soft spot there and I always felt I was going to push through the floor when I was going quickly around the bends.
