Sea Foam: How to
@witchal so you did the whole process? or just added it to your oil and gas?

Yes, Ive done the same added to gas tank 2 cans per full tank & then poured into oil just before oil change ! I only ran mine at idle in drive way for 5 mins then changed oil ! Got rid of cold start tick for crossfire & my sons LS1 trans am !!!
did this today, brake booster line is the way to go, I used about a 1/2 a can and an apparatus designed to drip fluid slowly into the brake booster line. I used a long pipe/bar and used the power seats to jam it into the accelerator pedal setting rpms to about 1800. I let it run and drip for about 10 min, then cut the car off and let it soak 10 more min. I poured a couple of oz's in the gas tank and took the car for a ride. White smoke for about a mile and then a crisper, snappier throttle response. I filled the tank with gas and I'm good to go. Very easy and effective!
Sorry for replying to an old thread but I found it quite interested..
My xfire gets stored indoors in winter but I try and start it up once every month just to run a little fuel through the system... This last time I started it I noticed a rather loud ticking.. I figured it was from sitting for a while.. The ticking stuck around for a long while and only stopped once I turned the car off lol..
Hence why I ended up on this thread..
I am due for an oil change so i figure I should give the sea foam treatment a try..
My question is after doing the treatment should I do an oil change by removing the bottom plug or is doing it the suction from the top end ok too.. Just not sure if doing the top end suction would remove all the oil and seafoam mix?

HazMatt - Thanks for posting this, I think! The guy in the film talks so fast I couldn't understand anything he said. Unfortunately, I'm 80 years old and hard of hearing. I have hearing aide's but they couldn't help me make out what this guy said. If you understood him, could you please translate the important parts of his commentary for me? I'm mainly interested in what he said about using Seafoam to clean the injector's or not to use to clean the injectors. I've always used Techron in the past and I know he reffered to Techron, but again, I couldn't hear or understand what he said.
If you can help, I'd appreciate it. Feel free to appreviate the translation if you want. Just so you can get me the high points.
Thanks,
Jim

When he is full of it, does he pull the plug and drain from his bottom?
My black SRT was ticking on startup and turned out to be a loose spark plug boot and I was hearing the spark jumping the gap on the one cylinder so check your boots. That boot gave problems in the past, so I replaced the entire set with a set from Rob at NeedsWings....No ticking now....good luck
so i just have a very rookie question but I am 100% sure the intake is on the back side of the motor after taking off the air filter intake and plastic piece? only had the car 5 days now. 04 XF 6spd 158,000 miles
