EMERGENCY: anybody near Oglesby, Illinois to help
If there is anybody near Oglesby, Illinois (about 70 miles South of Chicago, near rte 39), there is a stranded Crossfire there that had a blowout on his right front. If anyone may have a mounted tire and wheel that possibly could help him, I am sure he would be most appreciative. 18 inch front. PM me and I;ll contact him. He has AAA and they may be towing him somewhere where he might get help. Anyone?
Emergency is over .... AAA towed him to a Goodyear Tire store in Peru, Ill, last nite, and he was able to get a motel room in Peru for the nite. This morning Goodyear was able to find him a used 245/40/18 tire and mounted it on his unbelieveably undamaged SRT rim. So he's on his way home to SW Missouri.
I did get a call from a member (un-named at this point) that lives in a SW suburb of Chicago, who had a good N/A rim that he was willing to drive the 60 miles to bring it to him, in case his rim was damaged. Getting a tire is not as bad a problem as finding a compatible rim.

I love a happy ending. If you are ever in Victoria B.C and have tire wheel problems, call me, I have spare Tires and Rims and would be able to help.

What better way to show a new Crossfire owner what a great support group comes with the car
I do have a spare na wheel with tire but it would have been a loaner wheel and I would have needed it back.
This worked out better for him anyway and I do hope he joins us here once he gets home
Ironic. He loses a tire in the first 100 miles of ownership and most of us havn't had that happen in 30,000 or 40,000 or more miles.
