This forum needs a "live" chat room feature.

Other forums I belong too have this feature. You can go there anytime, but most members would meet at Tuesdays at 8pm as an example. Works well when anyone logged in can join in on a 'real time' conversation. Who remembers AOL Chat rooms? Same idea.

The Forum's Daily Featured Crossfire
Yup, That old thread was created by Silverfox back in February 2008 and when he moved on I took it over and spent some time each night for several more years to pick a good photo(s) from the member galleries and then I would post it as the Daily featured Crossfire.
Take a look at all the photos and history in that thread and you will spend a lot on time seeing beautiful Crossfires ...many from people who no longer even contribute to the forum and maybe have even sold these beauties and moved on for other reasons

Revisit and Enjoy >>

Its been a pretty sore subject for about everyone on the forum lately....
Its almost comical the excuses and run-around given to anyone who questions that particular manufacturer. Almost.
2 weeks is the saying...

DJ, I hope they are at least paying your insurance and plates since they have "leased" your car for the last 52 "2 week" periods...

I agree with the car of the month. Everyone gets a turn to tell us and brag about about their ride.
Giving props to a great post is a good idea.
Keeping politics out is a good idea.
Where your from included is a good idea.
No minimum for sales post.

There is no reason to assume the Forum would be "tainted" by any subject matter. It is tainted by jerk posters who won't behave and Moderators who will not discipline them. A simple sign on requirement that only those who wish to can post in the Political Forum.

And if one missbehaves, Bann Hammer goes down. It is done that way on many other sites.

We could add a wine Forum or a cigar forum for those who think that has something to do with Crossfires.

I would enjoy being able to discuss a political subject, or even to bring politics up up in a joke without the crab@sses going postal. But the waters here are calm right? Since removal of the Politics section, no one gets onery or personal here anymore.

Right?

That said, this Forum seems to be getting along just fine without the constant request by some to shut down the political section. This no matter how many votes were taken, fairl or unfair. That argument, wheher or not to have it, occupied more time, energy, lies and outright fraudulence than it was worth. Even for those of us whoe enjoyed the political discussions.

I'm with Doc,,,,,That hound can remain asleep.

OK, I like the what James brought up about being able to meet up and BS away....rather than this type of back and forth. I really think being able to showcase your car would be great as well. We have a host of new people on here quite a bit lately as the prices have come down. This will change the personality of the forum I am sure. They aren't 30-40k cars anymore...unless we are talking mileage. The cars are at an age that all the usual problems are starting to show up over and over again. Like the sticky key... We can all help with that. I am on other car forums as well, and this forum, to me has more info, more helpful manners than most. And we are a specific car...not several variations of one model. We don't have 4 doors, several drive trains and so on. We have 2 motors, 2 transmissions...keeps things simple. And, yes I have left out the v-8...as they are special builds. No 2 of them are alike anyway. So hopefully we can continue to be what we are even though not all are happy at being peaceful and helpful...

In the early days 2006. This forum was very interesting. However the very small number of cars dictated starvation. All we have left is an occasional nibble. familiarity breeds contempt. rarity breeds a vacuum. WE have a vacuum. I just joined the Flathead 6 Mopar forum..

+1 on that. I asked when that would happen well over a year ago. It is not that hard to implement (as I have done it on other forum websites).

If I could change something I would move threads like this and this to the proper forum. Nobody else can do post something like this so why can this be allowed?

Persons runing a commercial business in the wrong forum, how come? The only posts are of a commercial nature.

Is this the way things are run here, perks for members of a clique?
