WOW, guys I really stepped off the edge this week. Bronchitis went to Pneumonia fast. I was admitted Wednesday and they started an aggresive battery of I.V.s and pills. But I have heart trouble now, my pulse was 102 and irregular.

Drugs have my pulse at 72 just in the past hour and most of the bad pneumonia stuff is gone, but Im, I guess, not ready to leave yet.

I will be a cardiac patient for a while until they get my heart to beat like it SHOULD. I'd have funny feelings about my heart, but my doctor did not catch it. I THINK it REALLY flared up due to the illness.


So, I have a diagnosed heart condition. Maybe that's better than an UNDIAGNOSED one!

 

wow Mark, that's quite the week you've had. Glad the pneumonia is gone or at least in remission, I think it's suppose to take awhile to be totally out of your system. I would think they are going to want to keep you thru the weekend to monitor your heart and overall condition before they release you. That is unless you're on Obamacare. If that's the case, you're going home tonight with a pill.

 

It is way better Mark, at least now you can take whatever steps you need to get better. Take care of yourself.

 

Im willing to stay, no problem. But I AM a LOT better. Standing at my desk-thing typing this cause the doc wants me outta bed. (He changed my "bed rest" order to "Up ad lib" today.

Not sure what that means, other than 'get up'.

Glad to hear you at least making progression to the "better" side ! I guess your going to make us come back to the Dragon in the fall to experience your charm now.. LOL.

Here is the diagnostic from Dr. George :
Flu from kissing the wrong Hooters girl.
Pneumonia from standing in the rain with the flu outside Hooters hoping to find the right girl coming off shift.
Heart condition from the pneumonia causing you to miss the Dragon.

 

Damn it Mark... Here you are typing on a computer when you have all those nurses to check out. Get out in the hallway and get busy. This will also help with your heart condition as the rate increases, the muscles will strengthen. It will help with your lower GI as well. I won't go into that....and this is the Doctors orders...lol

Sounds lik I go home this weekend. I kinda hope doc tells me j can't work for a time.

 

Mark, this could be a good thing. I was diagnosed with a "heart condition" back in 2000. I did the angioplasty and in 2001 did the triple bypass, and it changed my life dramatically. Afterwards I had more energy and after a while a better outlook on life. My case it was a good thing. The only down side is now, every time you have a problem they will check your heart first. "Well let's be sure".

 

Just make sure you leave by the main door, leaving via the basement exit is to be avoided.
Go home and take care of yourself. Some people do not get a warning.

 

Hope you get better soon, hospitalized for pneumonia twice and I didn't exactly springback when I got home! Fatigue for a long time. While you're convalescing maybe you can work on some more video projects, add some of the hooter girls for some flavor! Seriously though take very good care of yourself we only go around once!😷

 

So, I suppose this means you won't be saying "Hey" for me this weekend?

Doc made it official, not going home till monday now. There was some hope for today, but he now says, "let's do Monday, I want your lungs clear and cough gone first - we also want to see you live with the heart medication for a few more days before we trust you on your own."

Hay man, spend one day a week with your Dr. the apple a day does not work, the next best thing is ,,walk,eat well, and see the Dr. every Monday morning, I wish i could do as i say not just do as i do

Taking time to do things is just part of having a " heart condition". Get used to it; don't fight it and you will master the problem. In a word: relax.
