Pizza checking in
HEY! I just made a move that, if it pans out, I'll be in an SRT Roadster about March of next year.
(That is: It's a financial move..)
And I cant see how it won't work... you never know but still, this is like a 2% risk kind of thing.
So, if the Good Lord leaves me on this blue orb (as opposed to my heart bursting and I die), then next spring, I'll need a driver so I can take TWO cars to Fontana.

I HOPE I am doing the right thing - don't wanna talk about it, but it seems like 98% a certainty I am doing the right thing for the long term.
Just gonna cause some POSSIBLE discomfort short-term, but those who successfully make long term plans pretty much IGNORE the short term.
From where I stand now, it appears that the Fall Dragon is a sure thing for me. My nuke job will be in full swing, but if I work some long weeks leading up to it, I can tell them to "get lost" for four days in October.
Sure wish I could bring an SRT with me, but the responsible way is to wait and pay cash for it. Hell, I'll enjoy it more that way, anyway.
This will be a different Dragon for me - no more rum and coke (I'm off caffiene and my one heart med is a "no alcohol" medication).
Nick's jungle juice is WAY out of the question....

Thanks to all of you who have wished me well over this spring's medical ordeal - I must tell you all, that it has changed me in ways I never thought possible - in time, I will regret that I didn't experience this years ago. My priorities have changed, and I don't worry about stupid stuff like I did - life is better, brighter and happier - same can be said for my job.
I don't know about anyone else but, these cars and pizzaguy get better and better with age. Glad to hear you are doing well.

Thanks,
XJKen.
I have as much chance of winning money in the lottery as I do by paying speeding tickets.
That car is only two hours from me - I already have a driver, ME! I would likely use my Enterprise points (got a billion of them) and rent a free car to get that one with.

I'm glad to read your back on your feet! I lost my grandpa (68) to heart disease and almost lost my dad to it last year! Reading pizza half a dozen times just gave Dominos some business now that I'm back in a crossfire and an srt6 at that no delivery is needed I think I'll pick it up!
Stay healthy my friend!

I cannot say that caffien free and going without booze is "better" but surely am glad your heart is improving.

The "no booze" thing is due to possible interaction with the one heart medication.
The "no caffeine" thing is mine - there is some evidence that caffeine (and certainly the amounts I've consumed in the past) are linked to irregular heartbeats; my fibrillation would be a severe, over-the-top version of an irregular beat. The doctor did not forbid me from caffeine.
I certainly plan on being at the fall event. But then, I planned to be at the spring event and we all know where I ended up....
