I have a 2006 base model 6 speed manual Crossfire.
Squirrels made a nest in the engine compartment.
They made a feast of my wiring harness's under the hood.
Car runs fine but the check engine light is on so I can't get the car inspected to renew my lic. plate.
Has anyone had experience in changing the wiring harness's under the hood?
There seem to be at least two major wiring harness's.
Does anyone know how many there are?
Do you know where I could find a wiring diagram?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I had something similar on another car, but they just chewed the wiring to one headlight, can you not see the chewed wires and fix them. Surely that would be easier than changing the harness.
They normally just chew the wires close to the nest, get the error codes read as you may have another problem besides the chewed wires.
Look in my signature line and click on ‘Index of Crossfire ....’ and near the top you will find a link for the manuals, the wiring diagrams are found in them.

Dave has a great idea, in the service manual there is (if I remember correctly) a pictorial drawing showing the under hood harness. The actual schematics in the manual is more of a block diagram that might not be what your looking for. I think (heavily on the think part) what you should look for in the manual is the section showing components locations. I hope you find what and where the actual harness locations are but think fixing the place where the rodents chewed might be a 'lesser-of-2-evils'. Might be all you need. If that doesn't work, then at least you can further troubleshoot here! Good luck!

Get some of those shrink wrap connectors with the built in solder and a heat gun, repairing harnesses is much easier that way.

There are partial and inaccurate diagrams in the service manual.

YOu can order the "Wiring Diagram Manual" but it's just the chapter from the service manual and is also partial and inaccurate.
(Yes, you guessed it, I ordered it, thinking it would FINALLY tell me what I wanted to know - it didnt.)
