Re: Chysler Crossfire Aftermarket Stereo Boot Logo
I did some tweaks and landed on this design.
Instructions for use:
Get USB drive (I used 64GB)
Format the drive (I used NTFS on mine, do FAT32 if you have issues)
Plug in the drive to the stereo USB
Turn on Stereo
Open Settings
Go to the "Factory" tab
Put in password (mine was 8888)
Scroll down to export factory settings and export
Plug USB into computer, make backup of the settings
Change out the logo.BMP file to the one provided.
Plug USB back into stereo
Click the Import factory settings
Wait for reboot
Keep in mind that these steps may differ between stereos. Some may allow you just to plug in the USB image file and call it a day. Mine did not.
Re: Chysler Crossfire Aftermarket Stereo Boot Logo
Great idea. I would never have thought of this.
My stock radio is still hanging in there but I will file this away for the day when I update.
Thanks for the instructions.
Stupid question.
I have never seen the logo with a red circle with the blue line through it.
Guessing symbol for the stereo you bought?
Or something totally different?
Thanks
Jim
