The only thing I'm afraid of is these new nav units don't let you use the E brake ground trick so that you can watch video while driving. I don't watch while driving but my girl loves to watch Sex in the City while I drive. If I can't do this then Not only will I not do it, but she would kill me as my current kenwood can do this.

LMAO u guys crack me up I had the same gig going when the ladies where driving in my Grand Cherokee only it was How to loose a guy in 10 days and Mean girls lol man did I look like a H0M0 when my buddies would get in and go do you have any movies in here lol.

I will check this tomorrow, Usually this is only a problem with the aplines the engineers decided to get trick and throw a gryo type deal in there that way no matter what if it was moving it was a no go. Good news though they are things you can buy to get around all of these motion detectors so don't let that be the deciding factor.

ntrikit, You only quoted half of what MAYAman said. The ground trick works on any head unit that calls for a ground off the e-brake. How else would they have you do it. The old, old, and I mean OLD, Alpines made you wire into both the e-brake and the foot brake and apply the foot break, then engage the e-brake and then release the foot break but they gotten rid of that design in the more recent years.

Glad to see people fighting over getting in line for these though!

Which part of the omitted part changes the point?

My apologies, I read it wrong. It sounded like he was making a statement that he is afraid the new head units won't let him use the e-brake trick meaning he is unsure. My bad.

If there is a double din unit that lets me let my girl watch DVDs or play Xbox while I drive I'm still in. I need these functions to make my life not suck. LOL
