that just seems photoshopped to me... has anyone ever seen that in person... cause i just don't see where the modification was done... i think the center console may have been extended up to accomodate the dual din.

edit: took a closer look. found the modification. looks as though the cut into the dash and raised up the vents and a/c controls. if you look, you can see the top of the vents is not in line with the lines on the glovebox... which if i'm not have a brainfart right now, are lined up on my xfire.

The ashtray, lighter and bag warning light were eliminated and the switches moved down. I like it.

and this was alpines SEMA car. it is real. and what they have done is BRILLIANT. the steering wheel looks stock but says alpine. LOOKS TEN TIMES COOLER THAN OUR DUMB WING. i want this dash. i would be much happier having my stock one to pop in if i ever needed it. so i want someone to make these

Your sons center console looks good but I much prefer the placement of the switch gear on the alpine car.

I am more than willing to do this for as many people as wanted. I just need to make sure that if people say they are going to buy, they do. Last time I did something like this on a forum, I got hosed out of 850 bucks worth of pillar panels. One thing I want to make clear about it though is that I can do the center console and the trim around the radio but everything underneath would have to be done by whoever buys them unless they want to make the trek to MN. I'm thinking that I would make it a one-piece panel and integrate the buttons into that rather than have it separate like it is now. And yes, this is for it to look like that alpine photoshop.

If you made it, and it looked great and was not too crazy to install, I'm sure you would sell a bunch.

If yours is a similar layout to the Alpine one I think you could sell a good number - depending on quality and price of course.

I know I would buy one.

If I did it, I would need a predetermined number of people to buy them as I'm not going to be fiberglassing existing consoles. These would be a formed ABS plastic panel and then coated so they match our existing panels and arm rest. Obviously these aren't going to be a weekend project and they will probably be a decent chunk of change but when you think about what you get with it, I personally would have paid a pretty penny for one if i didn't have to make it. I don't know pricing yet, just getting a feeler for who would actually pay for one.

I think you need to post an estimate of how much you think this will cost and how many orders you need to undertake this. Or post some stepped pricing: 1 - 2 $xxx, 3-5 $xxx, 10+ $xx

i would def be interested. I did see that you can order a new stock console for around $108(go to http://chryslerpartsdirect.com/ ) it in the collision catalog under: console - front console - center bezel. A custom double din would be awesome, would pay $200.00 for it no problem.

I have mine about 25% done. I will do these for others, as well. Unfortunately, it won't be anywhere near $200. I can do the cutting and glassing for $200, but if you want it sanded pretty, it will be closer to $500.
