Looks like I started something with mounting the gauges in the center vents. Lookin' good Corte00 and excited to see it when it's completed.

While I really wanted to have a shot at this, at least now I have less choices. Which will help me make my decision.

I know this might muddy the waters but.... How hard would it be to lower the vents and controls and put the box on top where you can see it better?

I searched the thread and didnt see this asked.

Hello, for me I really prefer not to change the vents position and only put all the switches right in front of the gear stick, ank keep the look of the car. Well but You did'nt say how much it will really cost to have one, sure I need one!

No dice on having one made with the vents where the radio is and vice-versa. Long and the short of it is we're not making any more. They're too labor intensive. Jonny is selling the one out of his car and you can find it in the classifieds section. I'm not posting a link because it might be construed as spamming the thread.

Thanks for all the compliments from everyone that followed this thread.

Any chance we could get a list of material used and the technique you used for this project so those of us who might like to tackle this type of project would have a better idea of what a 'best practices' might be?. You guys did such a fantastic job it would be a shame to let the knowledge die with the project. I for one would like to try this after hunting down the necessary spare parts.

Thanks again,
Rich

There is no science to it. It's just a lot of work cutting everything out and fiberglassing it together. I know people make it sound difficult and don't get me wrong, it's no easy task if you're not familiar with this sort of thing but if you're comfortable working with fiberglass, have a lot of time and patience and don't mind spending a couple hundred on parts and materials, it's just like any other custom project that requires attention to detail. Now I'm not saying run out and buy a bunch of fiberglass and start cutting if this is your first crack at something like this but if you've done this type of work before, there is no reason you wouldn't be able to get the same results we did. It all comes down to your comfort level. If you've never done this before, start with a smaller project and work your way up and you'll be fine but you cannot just jump into this with water behind your ears or you'll end up with really bad memories and you'll be looking for a new center console.

Hello.
As for a new center console, it is scheduled to complete next week.
I'm sorry. Because I cannot speak English, it is difficult to do an adequate answer to your question.
I am doing this work by custom-made in the car-shop now.
It is difficult for me to mass-produce, and to sell this console.

Those cost costs about 5000 dollars including the parts cost of Navi gauges, and HUD.

These sentences use the translation site.
It apologizes ..hard to read...

Wow!

Very good.

Are you going to post a list of parts/sources.

The "Start" button is a really beautiful touch.
