MI thanks for reading the whole thread, its a long one maybe we should get a group list going. THe motivation of seeing everyone that is interested might make us think of something we have not tried. Nothing like seeing potential orders to spark a new idea

I wasn't kidding

keep up the good work and see if you can mimick that Alpine panel. I really want to keep my buttons where they are I however don't care for the ashtray. I guess I can move my lighter, which I do need.

Can't wait to see the finished product! I absolutely love the way it looks in Johnnyangel's car!

And I might reconsider the switch location because of the iPhone cubby. I would really like to be able to use my iPhone as song database in the car, and a nice place to store it is necessary....How exactly is that setup? Decisions, decisions.

I have been watching to see how this turns out, I think it looks killer and I hopefully will be able to join in but I am a little confused about the price, time-line and just how it will work for sure. Will I take my parts off and send them to yall?
Thanks
Paul

Pricing is TBD but we're looking at about $500-$600 painted plus shipping. We would need you to send us all the silver parts as the core charge would be price prohibitive and regardless. We will work on a case by case basis if you absolutely need to keep your factory parts but be fore warned, it won't be cheap. We will try to crank these out as fast as we can and it all depends on how many people are willing to pay this much.

Jonny already has one so no dice on him in on this but anyone else? This isn't a group buy at this time but those who seriusly wants one, add your name to the list and what your price range is. I know some of you don't care what it costs but that's not the point. We need to know what route we should take depending upon demand and what people can afford and it all comes down to quantity.

rcompart - whatever it takes ($600)

Yes, it would include painting all the pieces. That is the reason we would need all the silver parts so we can get them to match.

Also, I don't think I specified it but this will be for the buttons under the radio like the alpine car.

Lastly, I don't want anyone to think that the reason I'm asking what people can pay is to determine how much I can make on these. It's all about the cost of manufacturing. If 20 people want them and the most they are willing to pay is $600, I have to figure out if it's possible to do it for less than $12k. If 40 people want them and they are willing to pay $400, it's gotta be less than $16k which when you look at it from that stand point, you realize that even though more people went in on it, there is only a 1/3rd more for the next 20. The problem with the more is less is that most of our costs are fixed per unit and don't go down with quantity.

Hope this answers peoples questions.

it has been a while since i revisited this thread, because the buttons were around the arm area, not good when you are driving a RHS vehicle, but i am definately in if they are going to be on the console like the alpine system.

Dumb Questions, what have you done to the center piece right in front of your shifter. My stock one is where the passenger airbag light is located, but yours looks like it has been modified??? Curious..... Thanks.

sure is it is an iphone docking station, you can talk through the blue tooth, manage songs and videos through the unit, even text. So there is really no need to have the phone i just hop in and plug it in and then do everything through the double din.
