Again.....to mass produce this console will cost a lot of money....I mean a good quality center console...not a piece of...shi.....t made of fiber glass........

If you're interested in doing this......go by yourself.....start researching with liquid abs plastic.....etc...etc....and be ready to spend ours of work...

have fun...

Betico...
I apologize for possibly coming off sounding like a **** but with your last comment, the real question is where is the one you were making back in May? How's that liquid ABS working out for ya?

My bad. Yeah that was right after it all went together. Truth be told, that's the dirtiest his car has ever been. LOL I'd eat off the floor in his car any other day he keeps it so clean.

Any update on getting a center console from y'all for installing a double DIN unit?

I like the last setup with the double DIN unit just below the HVAC controls but switches staying below the unit and the ashtray/airbag light/cigar lighter removed.

hey JR this is just a thought but it may help you guys out in lowering and mass producing the center dash and console panel , The company i have been working at for the past 2 years (just got laid off ) , did thermo molded composite prototypes for the gov , and high end racers. Im sure you guys don't want to invest in thermo molding but have you thought of casting a mold off one of the hand built parts and then resin molding parts out of glass ? or ....carbon

i Guys.....

I'm selling a center console face place and the plate where the mirror switch goes also, so you can start your own project for the double Dim unit and to move the switches to the new location..... with this you don't have to risk your vehicle plates if something goes wrong.....

I bought them a couple of months ago to start my own project, but I have decided to sell my lovely but useless crossfire.........

Price for both pieces are $150 + $20 Shipping.... more information, contact me to betico@me.com

Thanks... Jorge

Please take no insult but those pieces are very over priced based on what LKQ or other parts sellers are asking. I have in the past, paid anywhere from $30-$50 for the center and both times, it included switches and the $50 included the climate control as well. You may want to try eBay and I don't know if i dare say it but catch some unsusepcting victim at that price. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Depending on the condition, I could give you a price but it would unfortunately be wuite lower than what I think you had in mind. Again, don't take this as an insult.

In other news, We have all but finished the center console double DIN sourround and switch plate. Just fine tuning some things that after put in the car looked wrong and gettign all the curves and edges perfect before we get into it hard. We'll keep everyone updated with the progress and maybe even throw up some pics along the way before we are finished.

Thanks

So are you buying or selling them? I'm quite confused. One moment you were listing them for sale, now you want to buy more? Why don't you sell your friends the ones you have and have them get the other four? You can get these through your usual channels. Just takes a little time and work looking through what people have for inventory but they are out there. Thanks for the offer though.

Johnny I have been thinking about this, if you guys could make me one where I could keep the buttons and move them to the bottom like the alpine one I'd pretty much pay what ever you thought it was worth. Let me know.

I am not going to say we bit off more then we can chew but literally I dont know how alpine did it. I have a feeling it was a 6 different molding process with wood that went to clay then went to fiberglass.. IF it is even fiberglass. Chances are they took a chance with the original judging from the inside they had an unlimited budget and some wonderfull talent. I know it has been awhile but hang in there we are not giving up. Though I pefer my set up with the buttons in the arm rest lol rudy just wont live with it like that say he feels like he is in a fighter jet.

Alright, read all the way through. Just getting on the update list. This idea looks awesome. BTW, I too prefer the buttons just below the stereo.
