I am just using the cheap stuff right now, there is no need to spend the big dollars on resin you are using for molds, half of them don't work out anyway it takes a long time to get it right. The resin I am using, you can pick up and any hardware or auto store. I usually throw some extra hardener in there to speed the process up. YOU have to be very careful when doing this chem mixture, It can burn your hands or warp your piece If you are patient and have all the time in the world do about 10-12 drops per ounce, and set it in front of a heat lamp.

For those of you who said they want one, here are some teaser pics to get your heart racing!!! BTW, this is still a very rough first design and needs a lot of work yet to get the factory looking fit and finish we are looking for. JA and I were up till 6:45 this morning getting it done and I have never in my whole life wanted to sleep this bad so I'm off to bed. Enjoy!

Just got home I am off to bed as well, Looks good, much better then the bulky Alpine, and no offense much better then some of the bulkier customs IMO. Hope you guys enjoy, we spent a lot of hours and trial and error to get it this far. System is supported from the back with bracket everything you see is a direct overlay that completely matches the factory lines. If you look at some of the custom jobs that have cut corners and look thrown together, the lines are off, and they were not able to achieve this, getting the curves just right and keeping the lines tight took a ton of work, I can't even begin to explain. Hopefully I will have the completed version with the buttons later this week. Gel coat should be in on Wed for those waiting on their pods, sounds like I have my hands full lol.

I was wondering why you couldn't see it... The switches will be recessed into the lower pannel that you see, where the ash tray and lighter used to be.

Yes it will. This one was a very rough first time around. The finished product will look exactly like what it does factory, just with a double DIN.

Lets get a role call of those that want to buy one of these when they are finished. This will give us a better idea of what avenue we need to go down to get these produced.
