Default Console problem

Hi

How do you remove the console so I can repair the cup holder. I have a 2004 Crossfire. Also is there a way to keep the cup holder down. It's only up at this time.

Thanks in Advance,
Lori

Hi Lori,
To remove the console, open the console, lift up the mat in the bottom and remove the two machine screws. Next carefully remove the trim plate around the shifter, (it simply snaps in place) two more screws there. Remove the rubber grip around the park brake handle by pulling straight up on the grip with brake set. The console should pull up and out working from the rear of the console first.

There is a detailed thread on how to rebuild the cup holder somewhere on this site. Do a Search ! Or as a number of folks have done, replace the cup holder with a storage bin which you can find on E-bay for about 19 bucks.

Just my Dos Centavos !
