Are you having problems with the aluminum door lock plungers?

Not sure if this is the same as most other cars, but normally they affixed to the inside of the door panel at assembly by bending metal tabs over on the inside. I believe you'll have to remove the door panel to get them off.

Nope, just replacing them with chrome ones.

Well, it wasn't the cleanest removal but since they were plastic I removed it "in pieces". Plus, I wasn't planning on putting them back in. The installation of the chrome piece wasn't a piece of cake either. It did not screw in so I tapped it in with a rubber mallet.

Good Luck...

Fp...Use a thin jewelers screwdriver (if you have one) and lightly pry around the rim and they will begin to come up. Once you see that it is coming up, use you fingers or a pair of small needle nose pliers and screw them out, they are threaded. If you are replacing them with the chrome surrounds from GAP (CTD, TVT, Chrometec) you may have to widen the opening just a bit. In my case the driver side went in without issue, but the passenger side I had to widen just a hair.

Blacklimitedcoupe here on the forum has very nice polished aluminum ones, but if you want chrome, I got them from this guy in Turkey. I found him on e-bay, but when I made him an offer he ask that I buy them from his site. I guess to avoid e-bay fees.
