-423 indicator below Km/h and Miles/h???
hmmm, I bought the car in March and I have driven it for 3000 km. and it has always been -425 and now it is at -380?????
I am planing to go for a check and oil change in the next weeks.
the car has only 9000km (5592 Miles)
What should be done in the check up, and to what will I have to expect?
sheers

If the car only has 9000km then something is not right.
Maybe I have it backwards (I don't have my manual in front of me) and maybe the -425 means you have 425km before service and it would count down. Maybe another forum member who has their manual handy could chime in.
I believe the A service is basically an oil change. We can normally go 7,000 to 7,500 miles between oil changes but it depends on how you drive. It is possible that at 5,592 miles you are 380km away from service.

that definately means you are 380km over your FSS....the FSS is not based on mileage, but rather it is based on lubiricity of the oil and other fluids....the harder it gets driven the less mileage you ahve between oil changes.

Also, the FSS takes into account how long it has been sitting there.. etc.. so if your car sit son a dealer lot for 3 years.. doesn't matter how many miles it has it will tell you to change the oil...
ok that what I was looking for.
I suspected that it was even if the car stays at the dealership for a year or so.
I booked yesterday evening a check up for the car, and I left it to a sports car center impoting Ferrari's and Maserati's. They are occupied on changing the oil right now.
what a perfect service over there. Coffee, pancakes, everything you want when you wait for the car. Or even they will come to your place pick the car, leave you an other sports car and bring back home your car when ready. All for free, too bad there is nobody else in the forum from Finland, cos' I would recommend this palce straight away.
Thx to all for the info.
My xfire will be ready for summer cruises in a few minutes.

In my area, most techs do not know how to reset the FSS, so I end up doing it myself.
Here is how:
1. Turn Ignition switch to "run"
2. Immediately push the trip odometer button twice
3. Within 10 seconds of doing step 2, turn ignition switch off.
4. Press and HOLD the trip odometer button.
5. While holding the odometer button move the ignition to run.
6. Continue holding the odometer button for about 10 seconds, or until you hear the beep.
It can be a bit tricky to get the timing right; took me three tries the first time.
Best of luck and welcome to the forum.

If it was sitting on a lot it is how many days it is over due service.
I believe it is in the manual if you look for it.
I bought my 04 in 2005 with 54miles on it.
The fss said it was -190 ish days over due
hope this helps
