Default Another Dash light question...

I did a search on this and nothing came up. I noticed last night that the 3 or 4 indicator lights that surround the headlight/foglight turn on/off switch are out. Any idea on how hard it is to replace this bulb? and if anyone has done this what is the bulb number. It looks like the access might be through the fuse box on the side of the dash but I'm not sure.
Thanks - Pat

For the record I searched the repair manual last night and it looks like you have to replace the entire light switch unit, the bulbs are not a seperate item in the unit.

I meant to tell ya just that. Looks as though the whole unit pulls out.
Are you going to do it? Wondering if you will be able to repair it or as you say, have to repalce the switch itself. Take pictures!

Gotta see how much it costs first. Doesn't look all that hard but if the cost is prohibitive I might just live with it. Funny the dial still lights up. The other reason I am hesitant is that I would have to pull my carbon fiber trim off of that area and I'm not sure I want to do that. My other option is to let my extended warranty ($100 deductible) take car of it. I just don't like the idea of one of the dealership guys messing with my interior.
Decisions, decisions?
Pat

Just priced it at Wyckoff...295bucks makes more sense to let the extended warranty fix it, with my seat warmer.
Why can't it be a 2$ bulb? Why, why, why !

If you take it to the dealer see if they will give you the "bad" switch so you can take it apart and show it to us. Maybe there will be a way to repair it.

Will do but it wont be for a while, gotta finance Christmas first. I know the shop/service mgr. He should be able to get it or at least let me take some pics of what is going on. My guess is they may have to send the old part back? I'll follow up with you when I get it done.
