Default Console parts prices Higher than Gold?

This is the price for the rear of the console storage top.
The lid and the silver bezel that sits on top of the lid are 2 parts. The lid is #YB22ARKAA and cost $92.85 plus tax. The Silver bezel part (the pointed piece on top) is #1BR45XZAAA and is $382.00 plus tax. Let me know if your interested in ordering these items.
Can anyone confirm this price? Maybe there is a paint available to paint the silver console top with if it gets scratched. Input would be great! Thanks Ron

Can't help you with the lid, but for way less than they want for that metal tip you could get a whole kit full of dashboard trim and still have change left to pay for the lid.

For example:
AutoMax Auto Dash Kits, Deflectors and Accessories

That company sells several out of actual wood. It is paper thin wood (but u can't tell) and coated in varnishy/plastic.
Although granted the real wood ones are like 300$ for a full kit...

They also sell real carbon fiber (as well as synthetic carbon fiber and wood)

This link show's all the colors: http://www.beneventous.com/Colors.aspx
The premium colors are at the bottom.

I am considering the Brushed Aluminum, the Silver-carbon-fiber, and the Platinum wood one.

Mind you I have not bought this yet so it is not a recommendation just a suggestion.

Corey

PS: I noticed there is a guy on ebay selling these as well

I had my center storage replaced, it was not locking when I locked the car, something it should on a roadster.
List was $995.00

Should all the standard factory ones be locking? Ron

I bought a cheap can of silver spray paint at walmart that was almost a perfect match for the silver. I used it to paint the bezel on my receiver. I think it was around $3.00.

Here is a photo of how close it is, when you are sitting in the car you have to sit there and compare it back and forth to even see it where the difference is so slight.

All the silver in the console is plastic I think. Someone said aluminum. Ron

All the silver parts of the console are plastic right? Not Aluminum.
