Default Noise from Behind Glove Box

Well, I did a search for "noise" but it didn't get me anywhere.

Ok, Hope and I went for a ride today in the car. Because we did not have the sound system on, we heard something that I THINK is always there, but not loud enough to bother most of the time.

It comes from behind the glove box. Sounds like an actuator setting and then unsetting... that is to say, like "hhhhhhhhhaaaarummmmph" and a few seconds later "hhhhhhhhhhaaaaarimmmmmm" . This goes on about four times a minute.

What could it be? Hope says it annoys her mostly because she doesn't knwo what it is... and neither do I.

Probably an AC issue. I used to have this noise. It was the Recirc flap moving around. It was half broken and falling apart. A major fix at the dealership.

Try pulling out the cabin filter and make sure that there isnt any foreign objects in there and then pull the cover (to the right of the cabin filter) off the fan behind the glove box and make sure nothing is loose and no foriegn objects there either. Just a possibility that is easy to check.....

This has been discussed very thoroughly. Use "Search" box^ to avoid duplicates.
