Broken Cupholder
Superglue and/or duct tape?
There is a how-to somewhere on R&R of it. Have to do a search.
And there is a bin you can replace it with, but I don't have the number handy.
I have a perfect one for sale. What is it worth to you?

There is a how-to somewhere for the R&R of it. With repair. Have to do a search.

Had the same problem, took the cup holder out, removed the spring and BAM was fixed. Though afterwards in noticed the top of the cup holder, when closed, was no longer flush with the rest of the console. To solve this a glued a small piece of plastic in the back to basically function as a stopper. Problem solved
To open the cup holder I just push down on the back of it and to close it i just press the catch in. Manual operation now sure, but it looks as good as it did and still works as a cup holder.

Same thing happened to me today (found the cupholder up, spontaneously) and it won't catch in the down position.

1. Leave in up position.
2. Prepare your right elbow
3. Elbow the cup holder straight across to the passenger side. NOT straight down.
4. The top half of the cup holder should pop off along with the spring.
5. Line up the cup holder minus the spring and snap it back in.
These are real steps, I'm not joking.
I could reinstall my cup holder and take video if you want.
Also you could read my post here about the cup holder

I ran out of gas! I got a flat tire! I didn't have change for cab fare! I lost my tux at the cleaners! I locked my keys in the car! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!

The Guinness Record for cars destroyed in a movie was only recently broken by GI Joe, The Movie.
Not nearly as good, however...

There's a tutorial on the forums somewhere as to how to go about removing the console...
