I need to have longer wires running to my passenger door. I also know that there is a pneumatic line that is for the locks. What would be the possibility of elongating all of the wires and hoses at least 6 inches? What materials should be used and best place to obtain them. Any and all inputs are welcome!!!

I have lambo doors. The wiring has been cut twice from excessive crimping from the hinge over time. the problem was fixed the first time by the dealer for a cool $200 bucks. It seems the problem has resurfaced. Based on routingf them to the other side of the hinge; this will only be possible if the wires are a little longer. I just want resolution for this issue.
i would purchase the same gauge wire and solder it to the existing wire after soldering for insured connection i would crimp the wires with some clips which you can purchase at almost any autoparts or home improvement store. i dont know about the pneumatic line though
I feel you on that! I just need to know the gauge of wire to use and hopefully get some insight on the pnuematic line. I only have a few months left before it's time to take the baby out to play!

The pneumatic line material should not be the same as we have now, it is prone to breaking as evidenced by the problems of it breaking in the lift gate area. Splice it with the new hose, the material that it is made from escapes me at present but is mentioned in a lift gate post. Again keep the splices away from the flexing area and have the new material hose do the flexing.
Thanks for the tips. As soon as I get out of the hospital; I will begin his slow process of getting this wiring thing done! My main concern was the pneumatic line and the proper size connectors to have a "leak free" connection!

As I person who can't fathom installing funky Lambo type doors, you could go back to stock hinges...
No expert but Ive seen entire wiring harness that had to be switched out all due to the connector at the airbag sensor being partially severed or just broken. Does the side airbag wire look OK? It doesnt take much to have your srs light go off.. Id be cafreful with cutting that one
Thanks for the headsup on the srs wirinbg. The only wires that seem to be involved are the speaker and window wires, The pneumatic line shows signs of crimping. As far as taking the doors off..................I like the look....................even if it's not a Countach!
You can extend the vacuum line simply by cutting it and putting in whatever length/amount of snug fitting(over the vacuum line) rubber vacuum hose. That's the official fix when a leak is found in the OEM lines and also use a zip tie on each end for added snugness.
