I have been using mine for about a week now, it has already brought my gas mileage up by quite a bit. Using the mpg features it is easy to see how your driving effects gas mileage.

This was actually the first thing that I had ever purchased from a TV infomercial...Got it for $45 + about $7 shipping I think? Anyways, works like a charm so far, no issues at all except that our cars don't have a digital fuel level sensor that the UG can pick up on, so you have to manually enter your fuel top ups whenever you do. Not a deal breaker IMO, but a small inconvenience.

alaxfire;
Thanks for the set up profile. I may do the same as you. I have been trying to figure what I wanted to see, but have had it setup on rotation for now.
It seems to work great, kind of worried about the temp limit, it gets hot in Houston and my car is black.

I have a black car too and have not had any issues with it over heating. (Although its not as hot here as Houston) I left a little slack in the cable and put it in the door pocket whenever I leave my car in the sun. Keeps it nice and cool there.

I mounted mine on the dash just to the left of the steering wheel. i think I'll just drape a micro fiber cloth over it when it is hot.

I would reconsider if you are in any areas where someone may attempt to rob you. Not being able to see that its a $50 OBD tool, someone may bust your window thinking its a several hundred dollar GPS unit....

You may be correct. I do have it mounted low so it is hard to see from outside. May just pop it out of the mount and let it hang down as it only weighs a few ozs. I don't want a lot of excess cable showing either. Your right about the window, don't want to go through the pain of having one replaced.

Thanks for the info. I got a CEL issue (keeps turning off/on) think I got a sensor on the way out but would like to be able to check the code myself. Also interested in some temps etc. for comparing some mods. Just ordered (says should be in stock 3rd week of this month)

One question, where does everything hook up? I prob won't use it very actively so wanted to route it under the console with my iPod cable back into the storage bin. Would there be enough cable? Thanks!

The cable is about 5' 1/2 -6' long so you should be able to. It plugs into the obd port next to the hood release handle.

Price drop to $54.95

There's an update on the UltraGauge website that the reader is on backorder. Pre-orders to the restock take an additional $5.00 off.

Looks like the backorders have processed, mine should be waiting at the door when I get home.

When the tape is removed, does it cause any damage? What about tape put on the grey "paint" above the left vent?

I received mine last week. I really like this little gadget. Does anyone have a stock airbox and use the Ultragauge? I'm curious what temperatures you are getting. I have the NW single CAI and the temperature ranges from 95 to 115F when moving.

What's outside temp and running time? It's been 100 here a couple times in the last week and after 30mins I have had 140F intake temps on the stock box. In the 80s it's much lower so depends on outside as well.

I'll keep an eye on mine this week and let you know what the car is reading for outside temp and the intake temp to compare.

I'd be interested in MAF readings @ throttle position if your up for it as well. Trying to figure out how much of a gain with different intake setups. Or if I can see any at all.

I have stock airbox and my intake temps are about same. Kinda depends on outside temp.
When it's over 90 F outside, I usually see anywhere from 108 to 122 on intake temp.
