Leave it alone, or install a red bag?

I present to you, the fine forum members, an opportunity to sway me.

Wifey made the comment yesterday that the airbag needs to be cedar, to blend with the rest of the wheel. She feels it's too busy.
I think a red airbag would be too much red in one small spot, given there's no other red in the dash. But, I'm not entirely convinced my current setup "flows" as good as it could.
I could color the back portion of the steering wheel to match the slate airbag, but then the rim of the wheel would seemingly float in mid-air. The only way to find out is to permanently ruin the priceless wheel.
So... I'm stuck.
Clearly, opinions welcomed. More photos/angles are in my gallery.

I love Kim and would normaly agree with her, but not here. The big red wheel is too much. In this one, (and only this one), case you are right John.
Leave it be. And hope she does also.

Agreed totally on the two-tone, my friend.
Kim reminded me of this fact earlier. Victory seldom comes this easy, but fear not -- an inventory has been taken, this will surely cost me a half-dozen "yes dear" moments in the coming week.
