We’ll I finally was able to install the gated shifter and drive it for a little while. I love it!! I do not drag race my car. I have accepted the car and its limitations and so I do not race it however I enjoy a spirited drive as much as anyone. I have found that based on the way that I drive my shifts are no slower than they were before. I have absolutely no problems with 2nd to 3rd or 4th to 5th . I was impressed with the quality and weight of the shifter. The instructions were great. It took all of 30-40 min. If you are drag racing your car and slamming gears this is not the shifter for you. However under normal driving conditions you will be very happy, not to mention how great it looks. It’s like the nice lady in the office that chooses to wear high heels to work. Sure she could move about the office a little faster in tennis shoes but in some cased form over function wins out. I will put some photos in later this afternoon if I can figure it out.

Great to hear! This is exactly as I was expecting it would be. Just host the pics from another site, our gallery is still broken.

Hello John,

Thanks for the positive feedback and for your review about the gated shifter. I am very pleased that you are happy with it.

I´ve looked at the picture after installation. The shifting gate in your Crossfire is not in the ideal/recommended position. In the current setting, it may not work 100 percent!!!
To be able to compensate for the common manufacturing tolerances (Karmann), our gated shifter kit provides individual adjustment possibilities.

You have to make a change in position of the shift gate (which is also described in the user manual). This is very important to work properly. I will send you an email with further information and assist you in changing.

When that´s done, you can also drag race yor car and slamming gears ;-)

Greetings to everyone from Germany

Oliver
