Default Interior Setup?

Hey Guys,

I have a problem sometimes with my knees hitting the lil extra lip of dashboard under the steering wheel has anybody taken that off to get more leg room? I was also wondering in the N/A convertible crossfire what does the lil pull out piece up under the steering wheel do? Also I was wondering does anybody have a play by play on how to take the side air vents out and remove the whole center console instructions. I am pretty sure its on the forum but I just wanted to start new thread and hope you guys send links, pics, instructions, and advice. Thanks Guys

The pad has been removed and the pull out piece is the steering wheel lock for when you adjust it. Hint - keep it locked.
For Center console removal go to the 2004 Service Manual - Body/Interior/ section 23 - page 173

Try this thread www.crossfireforum.org/forum/tsbs-how-articles/41259-i-removed-my-knee-bolster.html

the pull out piece under the steering wheel is the telescopic wheel adjustment. Pull the latch up, adjust the steering wheel by pulling up or down. You should see a little steering wheel icon light up on the dashboard instrument cluster. Push the latch until it locks in place and the light goes out..

Do I remember reading that you can just yank the knee bolster out with some pry bar action? Might do that some day, I like to ride low

It comes off OK but leave the pry bar in the cupboard.
See the thread on this matter.
