I must admit tackling the cabin airfilter was a breeze had it out in about 10 minutes and to my amazement bugs, grasshoppers, dust, some type of sponge material all sorts of debris,i feel some of that debri made it to my blower motor causing that smell. After cleaning everything and wiping everything including the blowermotor down, I reinstalled the old filter after cleaning and vacuuming it out til my new one arrives from amazon,I sprayed the old filter down with air fresher and so far the smell is gone. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction

I live but to serve - no problem.
( I took my blower motor out too and put a couple of drops of oil on the bushings )
