Question Solution to the melting crayons smell problem

I may have found a solution to the melted crayons smell problem but I'd like some of your thoughts.

I met a pro auto detailer at a car show and when he took the time to sit in my 05 Roadster he correctly (I think) identified the cause of the odor as the glues that were used in Europe in the time that my fire was built.

He said he had customers with similar problems particularly Volvos and Benz of the same years

He said the Volvos are notorious for it. He suggested that the only real long term solution is to take out the seats and all the carpet and clean and reseal the underlying surfaces.

He felt that in the end that would "almost" do it but he recommended putting an Ionizer (sp?) in the closed up car (not running) over night and then running the cooling system and heating system for an hour each.

What do you all think of this approach?

On hot summer days, and there are lots of those here in South Carolina, you can smell my car coming a block away. Ther are not enough little pine trees in the world.

Thanks for you thoughts
