Red light stays on even when the top is closed
Chrysler dealer is no help! I had the d ring closure mechanism replaced but now the PTCM won't stop beeping when I try to drive the beast! Any help out there?
Best guess is that the rear bow is not latched. Try latching it manually with the top tool. If it is latched, probably a problem with the latch mechanism. I believe there is a micro switch that indicates that the rear bow is latched. I'll look at the wiring diagrams tomorrow and post some more info.

For that you need a 6 mm hex, or one of the MB tools that has both on it.
OK, that aside....Step 1: let's not assume that the Chrysler dealer that you took your beauty to knows much about the Crossfire.
Step 2: Pizzaguy would probably suggest that you try to recalibrate or retrain the TCM by manually raising and lowering the top with the engine running. Get the tool with the wrench on one end and the hex key on the other end. It's still on eBay for under $30. Manually raise and lower it three times, if I remember right.
Here's the video for manually raising it, if you need it:
Step 3: Recheck the switch in the railing in the top just above the passenger's head. You can see it better if you raise the top a little and stop it. Have someone else handy to help hold everything.
Step 4: Recheck the switch in the trunk divider to be sure that it is engaging. Maybe that should be step 3 since it's easy to check.
Also, most folks would want more info on the problem. Whatever you can share about it might help.
Do you hear the trunk locking when you try to raise or lower the top?
Is the top working at all?
Any water in the trunk?
Is it still at the Chrysler dealer?
Top works fine. No water or anything else I could check. I'm going to try driving it as suggested for five minutes. If I go deaf it is your guy's fault! After sitting a few minutes with the top up the light goes out while in my carport.
The beeping does stop after a few minutes but the red light says on....no blinking. With the radio on loud I can live with the issue for now until I can get another body to try the manual raising and lowering the top. In SoCal it never rains! Right.
Here is the best website (MHO) to purchase the M-B Emergency Soft Top Retractor Tool.
