Default Gated shifter being developed

Hey there, another thing I'm currently working on. A gated shifter gate for the crossfire. I have a partner with a machine shop and I've been trying to find ways to utilize his services. Here are some pics of the design in process and the old S mile shifter from around 2012. Those are long out of production.

Quicky loose fitting of the rough test gate. A few more tweeks before I send it to the machine shop for machining and then off to the beta testers.

WOW! I've been trying to find one of those. Glad someone is trying to revamp this idea. I read somewhere that manual N/As and SRTs were slightly different. It was a matter of millimetres, but still a PITA.

If you are planning to get these into production, and you are producing for LIMITEDs too, I'd definitely be interested.

I personally think the shifter does not need any CROSSFIRE lettering on it. The neater, the better...

Thumbs up to this idea. Post more pics as the project progresses.

The old chrome gated shifts were pretty - but I drove a base model with one and would never want one in a car I drove.

I am more interested in that big **** (what does it do other than operate the convertible top?) and I like the slide-door thing over the storage bin.

Once I have a couple more prototypes I'll take it to the machine shop.

It's a BMW I drive controller to control an Android large screen radio.

I don’t have scans of the interior, but I can take scans. But I’d have to charge for that.

This is awesome! How much are you planning to sell the gate/files for?

Does this work with the stock gear shift lever? All the pics have a third-party stick installed.
