what are drivers seat removal dos and donts
Good Evening my fellows caught in the crossfire...
I am attempting to remove the driver seat. After an almost impossible upside down inspection, I am stuck before I have even started.
I initially was to extract the chair by removing the 4 bolts securing to floor. I pondered if doing so would, could, and will result in
unbalanced positioning along track. I noticed the seat may be secured to top track and removal of these bolts will remove chair while leaving
the seat adjustment motors still installed. Despite these bolts being more difficult to access, this is possibly my safest option.
Has anyone any suggestions?
If wondering why I want to remove seat, the several factors include:
seat belt chimes when belted in (possible wires pulled out?)
installing new ignition and could afford more room reassembling under dash
seat warmer lights up but after short period goes off (may need replacement of heating element)
spilled something years ago and thought now would be an opportune time to clean it
doing near-impossible unnecessary things and challenging myself to put it all back together turns me on

The seat removal starts at around the 1:30 mark.
