Tony has been very helpful with this and spent about half an hour on fixing/reattaching the pin with a mirror. also Tony seems to know the crossfires very well from my conversation with him.

I never had the chance to talk to Tony. My experiance was with the service writer. The one thing I have discovered in owning this car is that it's actualy cheaper to get parts from Mercedes than Chrysler. I looked at prices at autohausaz.com and they list, for example, an MAF for both an SLK320 and a Crossfire. The MAF is more expensive for the Crossfire but the part number on the Mercedes part matches the MAF on my Crossfire. Anyhow Tony probably does know his stuff but as a customer you have to deal with the bureaucracy of the Barnett dealership, not the mechanics. I guess I got turned off when they quoted me a price of well over $600 for a part I know can be had new from Bosch for about $170.

Saw a beautiful SSB roadster on my way to work this morning going southbound from 101 in Rogers on east I94 this morning. It's almost surreal seeing these cars as they go by especially one that looks just like mine save the SRT wing. Traffic slowed down so I got up next to him and told him about the forum. Hopefully we'll see him on here. The more the merrier.

BTW, When and where are we gonna do a G2G guys? My car is in the shop but we should get something planned here for this month. The weather is awesome, these cars are awesome and the members of this forum are awesome, well everyone but Winston because he drives a black Crossfire. LOL Just kidding.

Take care all and hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.

saw two in the past week or so, a black base coming out of Menards in Apple Valley, and then a gray coupe going into work the other morning NB on Cedar by the MoA. It'd be nice to do a get together again, this time with all the cars out. Lola's on the lake in Waconia was a wonderful time this past winter, so I'd be up for that again and hang out on the patio. Kudo's to Win, even if he does have a black coupe, just for the cojones to drive out there in January so we could all get our fix!

Lola's was great - glad I could drive my black coupe out there. Do you think black Crossfires are tougher than all others? Able to leap tall buildings, go out in the dead of winter, etc, etc...

Seriously, I'm up for Lola's again! Winstonscifi.

Steve, I was just giving you a hard time... My first one was exactly like yours and I loved every minute of owning her. Lola's was a great time and thanks for bringing your car out there that night... It was good to see one even in the dead of winter.

I'm ready for G2G. June 19th could work. Let's set a date and "they will come". May have the new rims by then. The tires are at the shop waiting on the rims.

would someplace east, or southeast be better for most folks? I don't really care, just thinking about where people may be. I may or may not be able to attend on the 19th. We have a camper in faribault we try to get to every other weekend, and last week it rained, this weekend looks like the same, so perhaps the weekend of the 19th will be the first weekend we'll get to go down there.

How about meeting for burgers at The Tavern On France by the Southdale Mall? That would seem to be pretty central to most people, I would think. Plus, they have the best burgers around!

You just moved to MN didn't you? Best burgers are at the Lion's tap with the Buffalo Tap being a close second. These young kids, I tell ya. LOL

I've lived within 5 min of Lion's Tap for most of my life. I love it!

Never been to Buffalo Tap. If it's more of the same, I'm sure I'll like it too. Tavern on France has some damn good burgers though.

Actually, maybe we should have the meet at Lion's Tap on the 19th. It'd be really close for Rudy and I.

I used to live in EP pretty close to the Lion's Tap too. In fact i wasted, er, spent, the greater part of my life there as a younger man since they always sponsored our softball team. What they lost in the standings they sure as heck made up for in the beer we consumed!

I used ta did... I actually just moved to Princeton so I'm up in Kalway's neck of the woods now. But the Lion's Tap sounds like a winner. Maybe I can meet up with Kalway in or around Rogers somewhere and we can pick up a few others along the way.

another cool place is the 5 8 club over on 58th and Cedar, just north of 62.

y'know, I was thinking that perhaps a bit late, maybe in August y'all would like to come down to Faribault and I'll sponsor a grille at our camper and campground. That would make a heckuva interesting day, all those Crosses in one place. Lotsa people would take notice for sure, and it's a fun run down 3 or 35, easy to get to from the cities. In fact the owners are Bob and Shermayne Cross, so that's sure appropriate. if it's rainy that day I'm sure we could use the lodge.

Anywhere Rudy and Mark are ..... I'm there too! How about 3pm in the afternoon? Could we all meet about that time? Lions Tap is good - anywhere is good - is there a place to sit outside? It's been a long winter, and it sure would be nice to have a beer and look out on all the beautiful Crosses in the parking lot!

I'm still open for the 19th. Any time would be good. Rudy, we could meet any where on 94 or 10. Can someone post the address for the GPS. I don't spend any time in the Cities except to go to the airport. Dinning outside would be good and then some spirited driving would be great.

Lion's Tap doesn't have outdoor seating, but they do have a great parking lot for showing off the X-Fires. We can always go for a spirited drive afterwards if the weather is nice.

Kalway, the address for Lion's Tap is below.

16180 Flying Cloud Drive
Eden Prairie, MN 55347-4051
(952) 934-5299

3PM sounds good to me. If everyone else can agree on that, let's make it happen!
