Default Michigan State troopers off the road?

Well...it's beginning to look like the State of Michigan is going to close down. I'm sure this is going to come back and bite us in the a**...

On the plus side though...there's only going to be about 220 troopers statewide still working...that's down from around 1,500! That gives us speed demons about a 80% better chance of "getting away with it"!

I think I smell a road trip coming up on monday afternoon!

Update: as of 2:21 am sunday, 9/30, they have reached a tentative deal, which increases income and sales taxes!

Sorry but I have to vent here, any children should leave the room...

THOSE F-ING BAST*RDS!!! DON'T TAX LUXURY ITEMS...INCREASE THE INCOME TAX, GREAT IDEA...LIKE THERE'S NOT ENOUGH FORECLOSURES IN THIS STATE AS IT IS! YOU F-ING BASTARDS SHOULD ALL BE TAKEN OUT OF LANSING AND SHOT IN THE HEAD!!! DO YOU NOT REALIZE THAT INCREASING INCOME AND SALES TAXES WILL LEAD THIS STATE TOWARDS MORE FORECLOSURES...THUS CAUSING LESS PEOPLE TO LIVE HERE...CAUSING MORE LOST TAX DOLLARS! IT'S A COMPLETE DOWNWARD SPIRAL YOU DUMB F-ERS!

Sorry, and my apologies to everyone here! I had to vent! Send all angry e-mails to me...!

I'm confused - I watched the local Sunday morning (8 am) news and they say no deal yet.

They all agree on the taxes, they didn't before...it just needs to be voted on and approved.

Income taxes are going to go from 3.8% to 4.35% from what they are reporting.
