Count me in as a "Watcher." I'll bring my HD Kodak DX6490 and its tri-pod to take some awesome ultrahigh-resolution pictures. Mostly cars, mind you. Maybe some Zip-Line shots as well, haha.

The group can be broken down in a couple of ways with respect to driving.

Kell and Franc - Insane
All others - head shakers

And when the Radar Detector is dead silent, of course. I take many precautions when the threat of Law Enforcement is even a possibility.

I am very experienced with the autostick in my Crossfire (and clutch-less manual's in general. (sticks or paddles) Jaguar's, Ferrari's, BMWs, Mercedes, etc..)
I am very experienced with two lane road etiquette.
Mommy and Daddy did NOT buy my crossfire. I worked my tail off in Private High-School, and likewise I am a respectful and caring Son and person.
I am almost always very cautious with my driving, and with my life. (No drugs, No alcohol, no bad company)
I am a very sociable, and I love talking with people. I'm very outgoing and comfortable to be around.
My love with cars started and will always remain with Jaguar's.
I enjoy Avant-Garde living and enjoy both modern and traditional design.

My other interests include:
Fine Mechanical Timepieces (I love my Tag-Heuer Aquaracer, but also enjoy exotic and conservative designs.)
Fine Writing Instruments(I adore my fountain pens, especially my Platinum Parker Sonnet)
Fine Clothing ( I like to dress nice even when in a casual setting, and almost always wear handmade pointy cowboy boots.)
Art and design. (Its why cars like the Crossfire and Jaguar E-type appeal to me on an emotional level.)
I work very hard for everything I own, and cherrish everything in life with respect and honesty. This includes my Country and everything that comes with it.
I might sound a little complicated, but I am not. I think its going to be a joy meeting all of you.

Looking forward to seeing all of you for my first Gateway Crossfire meet!
Looks like we are gonna have to step it up, we getting some class around here...

Seriously though, we look forward to meeting you Aaron.

Nope, no haters in this group...however we do have a strong distaste for what I call pedestrians on the road (pedestrian drivers that is)

Even us purported wannabe's

I believe the club does have a dress code. No Ascots are allowed. If you can deal with that, we'll let you slum with us.

Me I wear white socks I buy in bulk so they always sorta match. I do insist on wearing a tie at work but that is so the sheriff knows to whom to hand the summons.

Both choices of attire have to do with efficiency which I have concluded at my age is stylish.

Many of us have interests in fine mechanical movements. I like old Ford tractors and own one, a '37 9N, with the proper amount of baling wire and rust to qualify as authentic OZARK Classic.
It is sometimes difficult to start otherwise it simply doesn't. Whenever it does move, I am interested.

My DODGE Cummins Diesel one ton has been undergoing years of careful modifications to match the performance, reliability and apperance of the '37 Ford tractor. One running board is missing. The rusty baling wire attempt to hold it on several years ago is still swinging from the mounting brackets. The tailgate has two impressive dents that fairly match my right shoulder. Which is still sore. Getting the clearcoat to peel off the hood meant years of resisting the urge and failing to wax it. It now has a very nice dull petina.

It hasn't been easy but I think we are getting close to a match.

As to my Crossie, I have already begun it's demise by blowing it up once. Can't even blame Shark067 as he wasn't there.

I like Jags as well although the E type never caught my eye. I like the early XJS types which many consider to be the most elegant mechanical disasters ever created by the British Isles. With pre 87 Lotus Esprits right behind.

Still, I would consider selling my first born to own either one today.

That would be an XF painted plum crazy hoping it would be confused with a 70's muscle car.

Welll gang, the deadline of Aug 8th for sign-up for the zipline fast approaches.
Debby and I were out there today to check out and tour the facilities and learned that you *MUST* have closed toed lace up shoes for this ride and they strongly suggest a water bottle that can be clipped to you in some fashion. I suggest a CAA water bottle available from Cathy or Franc and a clip ring.

As of right now we have 19 people signed up to ride the zip line. I'm going to call in the reservations and pay the deposit on Monday morning.
Debby and I look forward to seeing everyone on the 28th.

I don't know what to tell you Doc, that's just how we roll down here.
But I have to be honest, we do get a few of our people from Ilinois.
Doc you are welcome to come down and join us, I'm sure we can find some place to put you up for a night.
