I put down the deposit and made the reservations yesterday for everyone. we have the 12:30 and 1:00 time slots. That should give everyone time to digest their breakfast.

Here’s a heads up for something the misses and I are doing if anyone wants to join us at Fairmount Park prior to the close of the season.

Saturday evening, August 21, Fairmount Park Collinsville, IL

Dinner at the Top of the Turf Club Dinner Menu

Live racing begins at 7:30

If you are interested in going, let me know and I’ll keep adding people to the reservations as long as they still have openings.

(season ends 24 Aug so this is the last chance this year)

Deb and I would love to go. Unfortunately she has and Arts-N-Crafts fair in Old Towne St. Charles that weekend.

Is anyone from the GCG doing the Fall Dragon? Teresa and I are contemplating it. Looks like a great time of year to take a drive in the mountains!!

Franc is right, don't contemplate any further just do it. While we are going, we will be down there the whole of the weekend prior and the week leading up to it. We need some time on a vacation for the two of us and this is as good as any this time of year.

If you think soaring along some of Missouri's twisty roads in your crossfire is exciting, just wait till you get out of your car and soar through the trees and across the river at up to 82 feet in height and reaching speeds of up to 50 mph with the wind whiping through your hair.
Got your attention yet????
What the heck am I talking about????
Has he lost his mind???? (Well, maybe just a little but any of you who know me know that happened a long time ago.)

What I'm talking about riding the Zip Line at Mermec Caverns.
This is a safe environment for everyone and a real fix for all of the adrenealine junkies in our group. The tour last approximately 90 mins.
Afterwards we will enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch, OK now you can have a glass of wine, and then it's off for a tour of the cave.

The date is Saturday Aug. 28th
The cost is $49.00 per individual unless we have a group of 10 or more and then it is $25.00.
This is a reservation required activity. The cut off date is Sun Aug 8th.
We will be starting our day the Cracker Barrell in Fenton, MO at 9:00 am.
I put down the deposit and made the reservations yesterday for everyone. we have the 12:30 and 1:00 time slots. That should give everyone time to digest their breakfast.

Debby and I are looking forward to seeing everyone there.

P.S. There will be plenty of twisty curvy roads available as well and dinner at Missouri Hick's in Cuba, MO afterwards.

Yeah, just snack stuff is what we usually bring. We are bringing cheese, crackers, sausage, grapes, and nuts.
Whatever you want is cool, we usually pass around and share.

As usual Kell, you out did your last event plan. Awesome fun for everyone.
The thrill of Zipping thru the trees high over the Merimac River was super.
Never wet my pants once.
Next time though, I want to do it with my eyes open.

Pictures look great, thanks Cathy.
I'll have Debby bring a flash drive with her to work to load them on.

Kell

P.S. I've found several other zipline courses in MO. Some even have night zips.

The Sonzas had a great time ziplining, although only 50% actually suited up in that uncomfortable and unattractive harness thingy. Great job, Kell--as usual! Looking forward to Oktoberfest and another fun ride with good friends!!!
