We did contact someone and here is the message we got.

"The Cruise In is held on Saturday June 4, 2011. Food and street dancing throughout the evening with all types of cars on the courthouse lawn for viewing. Cars are given awards in different catagories. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating."

So if you are interested in showing your car, per the link below, contact Larry Gossett at (765) 344-8109 to register your car.

Main Street Rockville - CRUISE IN JUNE 4 2011

Chances are those of you with the mods and obviously near garage princess condition would be contenders.

I have been off the forum for a while and didn't know this was being planned! I will pass the word along to our group and see if anyone wants to join in. We may have to search for rooms or make it a long day of driving.
Let me know if anyone wants to have a GTG another month....I had thought about a weekend in Western KY, maybe Paducah ...not too far away for everyone.

Terry

OK Gang. I know we have this Southern Indiana thing in June but I'm kinda itchy to do something.

Anybody up for a trip thru wineland (HWY94) in May?

If we time it right the Missouri river will be over the road.
But some pink T shirts would make it worth the swim.

Franc,
Hold up on the May planning, the Erzers, Sonzas and I have been working on a little surprise on the good side of the crick. A little BBQ, wine and the blues on a Sunday afternoon. We may need your expertise, on a place to meet in the Columbia Illinois area..... be thinking about it, and watch your facebook page......... oh yeah you old timers don't do the new fangled stuff yet...... Ask Crumpy, (your much younger bride) to watch hers for a posting from Ruth, hopefully soon.... Maybe the other old timer (Eric) will convince his technically talented and much younger wife to post it here as well..... We'll see you then!!!

And here I thought I was the other old guy in the group - glad to hear I am not. I am still able to do most of the "new-fangled" stuff though so please keep me in the loop - thanks.

She has her Facebook and I have this forum at home and sometimes the professionals Facebook (linkedin) at work. I call it balanced....besides, she has me post things here for her.

BTW I only feel as old Franc sometimes; maybe the doctor will give me something for that tomorrow.

Ok folks, the next get-together and drive is.

Date: Sunday, May 15

Meet time: between 10:00 and 10:15am

Location: Red Roof Liquor & Lottery (301 Southport Dr, Columbia, IL 62236-2661) at Rt. 3 and Palmer Road in IL. at Palmer Road is the first exit off of Route 3 after turning onto Route 3 from the south end of Hwy 255. (might be a good time to buy those lottery tickets…I don’t know what the liquor thing is about)

Drive: From there we will drive to the 17th St. BBQ in Murphysboro, IL. After that we will drive to Blue Sky Winery, 3150 S. Rocky Comfort Rd., Anna, IL 62906 for a stop as long as the group would like and then return home.

Please let us know by posting a message here or via PM to me or Ruth via that FaceBook thingy (yes I'm still holding strong)

Hope to see you there!
