Gateway Crossfire Group
Hey Franc, I always kept an eye on this thread for local events, but with my crazy schedule of work, classes I teach, and other car clubs I help run, the events never really worked out with my schedule. I saw a few times you were meeting at Cracker Barrel close to where I live in Fenton, but it was always during times I couldn't make it. I need more hours in a day and more days a week!
No problem on the CAI, I just thought if someone local could use it I'd sell it super cheap. I don't really want to deal with selling it to anyone outside the area (shipping, payment, etc). I'll just use it as decoration in my garage! I'll still stop in from time to time on the forums and maybe I'll be able to catch up with the club sometime (even thought I don't have the Crossfire anymore), or if I know of a good car show in the area I'll post it up.

July 7th, Brooks Catsup festival, I will be in Killingsly CT building another garden greenhouse for the kids. But Crumpy will be here with her SRT. Ya might get Ruth to talk her into it.
If any of the GCG are interested in the Route 66 festival, we have rooms available (cheap..... ok free) and only about 40 miles from Springfield........ nice little two lane drive from our place....... give us a little heads up, so we can get prepared....... we can discuss it at the Collinsville get together..... then we can update Franc.

But the kids need me to work on their place.
And I must bring one of the grand kids home for Crumpy to play with.
BTW, when I told her you guys were coming , she got excited about going to the festival. Bug her on face book so she doesn't back out.
Hoping you all around St.Louis will consider coming to the annual show held for years in Springfield Ill
Good opportunity to GTG with some of us locals from Chi-town and Indiana
Please get the word out around your area and bring a group with you for this first time Crossfire GTG at the Route 66 car show
International Route 66 Festival & Car Show - Springfield, Ill Sept 27-29

Hello......anybody out there from Gateway? Hmmmm......nothing but crickets.
Just thought I would see if there is a local group that's active out of St. Louis.....or the midwest.

This question goes out to any Crossfire owners in the St Louis area. I am currently dealing with the rear window falling out issue on my '05 Roadster that has been discussed on this forum for years. While Missouri is on the list of "eleven" states included in the warranty X31 program for top replacement, it turns out that my car was originally delivered to Minnesota. Therefore....you got it! NOT eligible.. I called Chrysler customer care who seemed willing to help me get the vehicle repaired. They, however are in direct talks with the Service Manager at South County Dodge (located in South St. Louis County). The service manager initially told me that he couldn't do anything. And even now that customer care is asking him to send information to the warranty center etc, he seems very reluctant to even try to push for any goodwill on my behalf. He admitted that he has never dealt with this issue before. Has anyone in the area experienced the same problem? If so, is there a more proactive dealer that I should try to work with to get a potentially better result? My guess is, that I will wind up frustrated, staring at a $1500 repair bill, or the temporary glue fix. Thanks for any advice!
There is about 8 couples here and we still do things. Mostly coordinated on facebook.
We did a 240 mile away Dawt Mill week end on the white River, some winery runs, and the Collinsville Catsup run in Illinois.
Send me or ERZER a PM with yoru contact info, cell or landline, E-mail and I will get you involved with the group.

About the only one I would recommend is Glendale Chrysler down on Manchester just east of Lindbergh about four blocks. I cannot say they will do it, but they seem happy to see our Crossies in their shop. Any warranty work I had for them, they were aggressive and eager to get it covered.

STLRAMFAN65.....I can't provide advice on St. Louis Chrysler Dealers since I'm a new owner, but I would be interested in hearing how your situation works out. I have a 2006 roadster with a rear window in great shape.....but I'm sure at some point I will be dealing with the same issue.....who knows maybe they'll extend the warranty at some point to cover 2006. In general it would be good to know which dealers are helpful if the need arises. Good Luck

Your 2006is unlikely to have the problem. Seems only 2005 have habitually had the window failure.
More likely you will have the issue with the fold in the center above the back arch. Chrysler has refused to honor any issues with that problem.....So far.
Thanks for the info, Frank. GTW, I'll try to keep you posted on any new developments. The 10 year warranty for my car (if qualified), would actually expire next month. Another reason for them to drag their feet. I did file an official complaint with the NHTSA, and you can read the 100's filed just like it on SAFERCAR.GOV. I'm not sure that any of that will do any good until somebody dies or is seriously injured by a flying window some day. Then they could point to the known issue, and it may get some bad press. The guy I talked to at NHTSA said he'd never heard of a TSB that limited coverage just based on the state of original delivery. He'd also thought that if the car were ever titled in one of the "covered" states, then the warranty should apply. Missouri is a covered state. That would make too much sense.
