Well, I'll definitely be changing from a CA Crossfire to a CO Crossfire. I'll try to join in when you all meet up.

Sounds good. There is going to be a Crossfire hookup in Las Vegas in September, if nothing else here sooner. Do you think you might be around by then?

As long as I can find a new job, then yes, I'll be there by then. You don't have to know of anyone looking for any electrical engineers, do you?

Kind of a tough market, still. Construction orientation or computer orientation? I know a few in Construction/Mechanical & Electrical that might be looking. Might be good to register with a placement firm like Snelling Personnel in Littleton, CO. They have a great record of placing folks into the construction side of things in Colorado. Good luck.

The type of work I do involves designing and testing computer chips for electrical devices. Do you happen to know of anyone working at Agere in Boulder, Seagate in Longmont, ST Microelectronics in Longmont, Marvell in Longmont or any other company along those lines? Thanks.

I'm sorry I don't know anyone at those companies. Have you looked at Intel in Colorado Springs?

OK...Ok...its July. Anyone around for a hookup? I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one in Colorado.

I wouldn't mine a nice run into the mountains. Need to wait a couple of weeks, I'm fairly booked for July. Perhaps 2nd or 3rd weekend of August?

You're definitely not the only on in CO. I just moved here and I regularly see 3 SSB Crossfires. What were you thinking for a hookup?

It's time to get on the road Colorado...what's the plan folks?

First option mapped out:
Start/meet in Boulder up to Estes Park, through Rocky Mtn Park, over to Kremmling, down to Frisco, then to Fairplay. Denver folks take 285 back, Springs folks back via HWY 24.

Maps out to be 268 Miles -- 6 hours 20 minutes.

Any dates in mind, yet? I might be up for this, might cut it short at Frisco, but let me know.

14, 20, 21 st... The route is a long one, the Frisco turn is a good idea. Any other routes? Anyone else?

I've only been in CO for a little over a month so I don't have any routes to add. However, 268 miles is a little more than I'm up for.

Coming down I-70 from Frisco will cut a lot out of the mileage and time. Being a newcomer, you will start to get used to the miles in time. Everything is a bit of a ride here. The photos from this type of run would be tremendous. I will check my calendar.

Option 2:

Still starting in Boulder, up through Estes Park and Rocky Mtn, but out of Rocky Mtn cut south sooner go through Winter Park on US-40 to I-70 back into Denver.

Works out to be 185 Mile at about 4 hours 20 Mins.

I uploaded both routes with map sections (rough) in word if you want take a look. I'm open to other suggestions...

Hmm, I've been to RMNP several times. If anything I would prefer a route that goes south of Denver where I haven't seen much of the state. Again, I don't know what roads that would entail.

Hmmm...I used to take Parker Road South to Colorado Springs, could loop through Garden of the Gods, maybe home on US-85
or route out through Woodland Park, Larkspur, Deckers...? Scenic and twisty and mostly two lanes.
