Another dumb idea from nightrider
Alittle in the future but maybe submit our photos to a central person (I am good with Photoshop) and make a 2009 calendar (probally a weekly style) of our 2008 events. Put it in a downloadable/printable format and we can publish it amoung ourselves around Novemeber. I am willing to volunteer to do the labor and layout. If anyone cares to "buy" the calendar...don't pay me but make a donation to a veteran's charity...my personal favorites are taps.org and miap.us small but big missions. TAPS supports families of the fallen heroes and miap (missing in america project) looks for and recovers unclaimed and forgotten cremation remains of veterans and gets them from funeral home basements to the VA for proper military funerals.

Wow, great minds think alike! I was having those same thoughts just yesterday. That and saving our group pics to the same site (photobucket.etc) so that we can all share.
If you can produce the calendars that would be great. Otherwise we have to pay a professional company for production which will not leave much for the charity. Why don't we just stick to TAPS seeing as it's an organization you are familiar with.
So are you going to spearhead this idea?

Sounds good to me. I am a marine designer and enjoy graphic arts. I will gladly create or co-create the calendar...I DO NOT want money for this. I enjoy doing it. As previously stated if some one wants to buy...send a donation to TAPS instead.
We can do both Photobucket and a calendar as I am sure I will recieve more pics than I can use. And again anyone can download and print from photobucket.

What a great idea. Please put me on board for anything in the way of photography, I was a pro for 35 years. I can help with something, I'm sure, and it will give me an opportunity to work with my new camera.
I just love this forum and the crossfire owners that are a part of it. We all have a lot in common and want to share....Just nice in this day and age. I'm really, really happy to be a part of this.
