It will be a load of fun, having you with us will be a treat.
I have established contact with the Charlestown Chamber of Commerce and have made sure that we have parking right near the gate for all of our cars. It is imperative that we all come in together! That will ensure that we can all park as a unit. Let's hope we have a good showing. I know we will look good, and present ourselves in a professional manner. Once we get through the doors we can act up.

Rick,
About Sunday, when and where to meet up. I assume it will be Val & I with Robby as my wingman.
I tried contacting a bunch of members but most seem to be busy, as you can tell from the thread responses.

I will be there with our guest. Are we having breakfast before we go in?

I already posted that we would meet up at the Park and ride that we used when we did the Newport cruise. However, since all of you will be coming up and down RT 95, we can meet at the Cracker Barrel where we always do. We will then go to a different restaurant on RT 1-A in North Kingstown. Considering the fact that there will be 4 cars, it will be easy to collect all of us and keep together. It's imperative that we stay together while entering the grounds. It's also very important that we get there before the gates open at 11:00, therefore, we should meet at 8:30 and no later. It will take about 15 minutes to get to the other restaurant. We should be able to eat in a half hour and get to Charlestown by 10:15 or so. I have arrainged for us to be parked close to the gate and all together with nothing near us to damage our cars. This is thanks to the Charlestown Chamber of Commerce.
I'll shoot off a couple of emails to simjampa and to the lady with the red coupe that came with us to Newport.

Wouldn't it be easier and less confusing if we kept to a known meeting place and not change it 36 hours before the meet? I am unfamiliar w/Cracker Barrel, but sure I can find it. Also if we are watching time why waste it meeting at one restaraunt then driving to a different one?

Apparantly you don't remember where we first met to form NEX? That's the Cracker Barrel of which I speak. Exit 7 off of 95N.

I thought the change would make it easier for everyone. I realize full well that it's not a Friendly's but the place I want to take you to is on the way to Charlestown. It's got great food at great prices. I don't hear any other complaints or is this really in regards to you blocking me from sending you email because of a joke that I thought was funny. I'm quite sorry if that offended you.
Now, as far as this trip goes, I had to do a lot of planning in a very short time. If THAT displeases you, I'm sorry as well. Here is a public apology for my misguided efforts to make you laugh. And I didn't circulate a bogus picture of you with a lamb. That was pretty rude but I took it in stride.

To send that via this forum was just not right as was the post to which I am sending this reply. You could have sent me a PM and done it in a much nicer way. I, in turn may have responded in a like manner.

If the rest of the people coming want to change it to the original meeting place then so be it. Let your vote be known.
Rick

If u have a personal problem see me on the side this is not the place to discuss this.

I am saying that changing meeting places at this late confuses matters and may not be seen by all members.

Bruce, there is only one group that will be attending other than you. Stan knows where Cracker barrel is, so do you. Robby will be coming with Stan. I know where BOTH places are. Stan doesn't know where where the other place is. He met Dereck at another location.

End of discussion. for BOTH points.
Over and out, Rick

Bruce, Thanks for helping me find the sunflower field. Val really enjoyed it! I got some great pictures.
Rick, I can meet you anywhere as long as I have an address. Trusty old GPS. Rick, thanks for putting this all together. I know it can be difficult.
I already PM'd to simpa, he has declined. Gibsonjunkie declined.

Cracker Barrell is good for me. See you at 0830. Is RETIRED or our Long Islander coming? Now I am beginning to know how the dinosaurs felt.

Thanks Stan and Bruce. I think it will be the easiest plan to meet at Cracker Barrel, I suppose we can eat there as the trip is easy from there as well. It wouldn't hurt to get there a bit early as the Chamber suggested.

Bruce I'm sorry if I offended you, I felt like that was an attack. It took a lot to try to get everything up and running in some kind of order. I am looking forward our GTG. I'm assuming we need some folding chairs for the concerts.
See you at 8:30 a.m. at Cracker Barrel

Looks as though everyone had a great time. We had a newbie with us and he and his girl enjoyed themselves very much. SRT6Blackie is his handle, Rick

Hey, you know that old saying !

"The camera doesn't lie." or is it "The camera adds 10 pounds. "
