Default Red and Needed

Joined club to get help with the numerous little nagging problems this red roadster harbors. Fun to drive but always has some type of issue

Do you keep it garaged, clay-bar'd and polished and also give it a hug every day ?
I do, and in the 3 years I've had mine, I have had but one real issue, and that was a blown fuse that I probably caused myself futsing around with it.
We are up to 54,000 miles together now, from the 41,000 it had when we first met on that golden day.
I gladly paid the dealer's ransom to bring 'Little Orphan Annie' home with me and away from that horrible nasty ole dealership.

It is garaged but I don't give it a daily hug, but I do give it a daily frown. Actually it is my wife's car and she keeps pretty good care of it. I just grumble about the cost of expensive maintenance the constant ping pong of bulbs going out, TPS warnings, and the other day a CPS going south.

Replace the bulbs with LEDs, never have to worry again. Solution = under $100.

Fill tires with nitrogen, never have TPMS warning again (unless a sensor dies). Solution = $40-$60

CPS, get bosch unit online at $45, buy necessary tools to replace at under $50.

I can see how these would be costly problems if taken to the stealership, but that is why this place is so valuable. Even if you can not wrench, you can buy the right parts, take it to an Indie mechanic, and know roughly how long it should take, all based on info easily found here.

No one here wants to see another owner having issues and not enjoying the car so most of us will do our best to help, hell there may even be a member close to you that will help with your maintenance, in many cases, for a few beers

Best of luck.

Never gave a thought to LEDs but I don't know whether I would have the stomach to spend under a $100 for replacement bulbs. TPSs are failing, my cure was either getting new TPSs and having the tires dismounted, remounted and balanced or to place a piece of electrical tape over the indicator and start checking the air pressure occasionally. My wife now does the latter. Purchased a IPL CPS for about $12 and used a dental pick to release the connector latch. Wife ran into a curb and damaged front and back rims, after discovering how much 19" tires were and the cost to replace those 2 rims I bought after market 18"s mounted 40s on the front and 45s (to keep the rake) and called it good. Must have saved over a $1000 that way. These Crossfires are expensive to own and maintain but my wife loves hers, I have just had to find other ways to lessen the cost of ownership .
BTW, this forum was invaluable in discovering and resolving the CPS problem. Oh, this is my wife's second Xfire
