Hello everyone,

I'm Paul, I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and just traveled to Florida to purchase a 2005 SSB SRT6. With the help of great friends (Chuk, Michael, Inge and Jack) on FB Crossfire club they did all the leg work to find and test drive about 5 cars from Colorado to Fort Myers. I finalized the deal on Dec 10 and drove her back home appx 3000Km or 1900 miles. Along the way I made so many new freindsand seen so many beautiful places like Sarasota Beach and driving my Crossfire on Daytona beach that it made the trip go by very fast. I will be looking forward to reading the many helpful tips you have written here to help one another and hopefully we can all enjoy the most of these beautiful cars.

 

Welcome Big Daddy and congrats on your purchase. I also stole your SSB twin out of Florida almost three years ago. Lots of great Crossfire owners in your area too with lots of events planned throughout the year.

Hey Big daddy - Welcome to the forum.
I'm "Ottawa" John in Richmond. Mario "Turbomar" is now in Kanata, and Jeff is in Bells Corners. There are a few more of us in the area, too. We get together occasionally for a little run and fun, and sometimes some bigger runs. If you're interested in any, keep watch on the forum for postings, or pm me with your email address and I'll add you to a direct emailing when things come up.
And about this SOCO thing - in this area Mario calls us EOCO (Eastern Ontario Crossfire Owners), but I'm not so exclusive. We're ROOCO - Rest Of Ontario Crossfire Owners.

Thanks you. I also have a neighbor here in Orleans that has a Crossfire. It would be great to have group drives with all. I am still learning this site and about the car but so far its been great. Valk is right, though - the SOCO guys are some of the best car people you'll ever meet!

Well, now, it seems that he is in third place at 1900 miles, I'm in second at 2200 miles (AZ to GA) - as for first place, wasn't there a guy here this past summer who bought his and literally crossed the country to get it home?

About 2900 miles if I remember right.



Not saying it is a contest.
But it is.
