Hi all. I have always loved the looks of the Crossfire ever since they came out. I retired last year and recently told my wife that I this was something I had to have. So, I just purchased a metallic gray '04 Coupe with 10,500 miles on it in like-new condition. I am in the process of having it shipped from Tennessee to my home in Henderson, NV.
Can't wait to get it here and crank it up! We have a second home in Oceanside, CA and it's five hours, all freeway away. This will make the monthly trips a real joy. I hope the CHP's won't be too excited though! Look forward to learning more about the car on this site and possibly finding a rally sometime.

Congratulations on the purchase! Think you'll make a fine fanatical owner like the rest of us.. LOL.

Welcome Metalgray04, my roadster was a retirement perk to myself. One of the good things about our cars is the fact that even though they have been out a few years there are still plenty of low mile examples around. Enjoy the ride my friend.
Well, welcome. You got the right color.
Now, I know the car has low miles, but my suggestion is to 'get ready':
1) Search this forum, order a Crank Sensor and put it in the trunk.
2) Search this forum for "Sticky key Fix" and have that mod done sooner rather than too late.
3) When the car arrives, look the battery over, try to determine it's age. If it is over 5 years old, replace it, period.
4) If you are not going to do oil changes yourself, go to Walmart and buy Mobile 1 0W40 and then go to Autozone and get the Purolator filter (not the paper version, either) and take these items with you for the shop's use, so you KNOW what is being used.
5) Find a local shop known for it's expertise with Mercedes products for any things you can't fix on your own.
6) Don't even buy PARTS from a Chrysler dealer, unless your pension is really lucrative.
7) Call the lodge and reserve your room before they are all gone:

Enjoy the ride.

Congratulations.
I would suggest as one of the first 'mods', go to an office supply store and buy a pair of gel office chair cushions.
After a 5 hour trip on the interstate, you'll thank yourself.

A wonderful choice as a retirement gift
You will enjoy many hours of driving and being retired is the way to enjoy it most.
Welcome to the Crossfire Forum as well.

Looked it over pretty hard.. had been hit in the front end.. less than quality repair job.. sand marks in the bondo on the front fender painted over.. no lower grilles.. leaky valve covers.. lower drivers corner of rear window had daylight between it and the top.. few paint scratches along the bottom. "pop" sticky window and top switches .. lol. Hood didn't "spring open".. another guy there raised it when I popped the lever.. when they got it off the auction floor.. mickey mouse ramp slipped and scratched the lower facia pretty good (promised to fix)... and that is when I noticed a BIG gap between the hood and facia zone.. between the grill and headlight section.. Figured 8k was max..she jumped up there fast.. and sold at that price (+400 auction fees). Gave the new owner forum information and my number. He called a couple days later with some questions.. and said his neighbor had already offered him 10K.. Hope he sells before the window falls out.. LOL
OhHH.. and get this.. Kelly blue book print out tapped to windshield.. around 18K.. umm.. okay.. got to reading fine print on the print out.. SRT6 roadster.. LOL.
