New Member - finally got another Crossfire!
Hi everyone,
Yes, I actually sold my former crossfire but ended up missing it so much I'm basically waiting for another one! I found a 3.2 2008 convertible in Blue with only 20,000 miles! I already ordered the Carbon dash board, the air intake and the 'chip' too! I just really would love to get some advice on the best spring to lower it and a really nice exhaust that is not so loud it ruins the inside when driving! I want to hear it but not be regretful!
Thanks and I'll be putting the pictures on when I get it!

Hi,
I got the Eurocharged and I'll let you know when I get it installed. It's going to be awhile since first I have to get the car! Ha ha... it's being transported but it's coming from up north so it could be another 20 days! I also would like to put on the cold air first and hopefully I can afford some nice springs and I really should put on a better exhaust before I 'chip' it. At least in Porsche that's the usual way. I haven't even seen her yet just in pictures. Blue...

I got the needswings single air intake too! I just want her to at least get the most. I also got the thing for the gas pedal to change the electric but I think I'll hold on installing that till after the 'chip' since too much might kind of screw things up.... so how quick does the difference make with the chip?
Richard
Richard
Fair enough. I was worried that you purchased one of those $69 "chips" that do not do a thing. Eurocharged does free retunes. So if you get the tune now and add additional performance mods later, they will re-tune for free.
Now I only have the 6 cylinder aspirated not the supercharged. So what's a good 0 to 60 in the those with all the exhaust, chip and cold air?
Thanks,
Richard
Thanks,
Richard
Thanks,
But I work 6 days a week 10 hours a day so I can't head for Houston for the tune, ha ha.... I'm going to have to trust my Porsche mechanic to do it anyway. any great information you can give me to pass on would help. He's a racer anyway, but he's used to Porsche's so I'm hoping it won't be too hard?

I had three N/As before I jumped over to the SRT world. I did tune (Eurocharged) and put single intakes (Needswings) on two of them. You will definitely notice an increase in low-end torque and should notice a .5 second decrease in your 1/4 mile times at sea level. For the N/A's, I would not bother spending extra for a dual intake. A 74mm throttle body would be beneficial.
Thanks a lot, I got the single Needswings for the same reason you said! I appreciate the throttle body too! Any suggestions as to where and which one? I'm loving cars but I'm still someone who pays good mechanics! ha ha....
Thanks!
Richard
Oh.... exhaust?
Thanks!
Richard
Oh.... exhaust?
Exhaust will probably not add a lot of HP, but will certainly add sound.
I don't have exact part numbers for the 74mm throttle body, but there are two different ones floating around with different electronic connectors. Obviously you want one with the "plug and play" adapter. Perhaps others who have done this mod will provide the correct part number.
Thanks A lot! I check it out. 74mm and plug and play.... I'll talk to my mechanic too... Maybe that's like a racing plenum in my Porsche? Heading for bed and thanks a lot!

Hi,
will that one be a plug and play? I just don't want all the problems I've read about in the forum.
Thanks,
Richard
Just order that number for the Mercedes Benz engine?

Hi everyone,
O.K. I found a throttle body on ebay and it says it's a 1131410125 but it says nothing about being a plug and play and I just don't want to start a brand new scratching the head and says 'hell I have no idea what else to do!"
If anyone knows just what to got for a 44mm throttle body, or where to get the exactly right one with all the bells and whistles included.... I'd really appreciate that. I've got a great mechanic but I can't just say please do it and leave it for hours and for him to do the same thing.... there has got to be one that's pretty much prepared that will snap in and still work with the sensors and electric stuff.
Thanks,
Richard

Thanks,
I got the one on Ebay. Do I need anything else or will this one be the plug and play? I don't really have the energy or time to start just making problems with my engine. Do I need anything special? Is just the housing what I'm using? can you give me a little more help here. I'm going to ask my mechanic when I get the car to just put it on, but what does it really include? Will it fit on the same spot? Can it use the same basic sensors and they will adjust? Things like that... I just want to be sure before I start something that from what I"ve been reading sounds like drunk guys in a barn at night, ha ha.... Hey... money is one thing but is it simple and worth doing. I already ordered the needwings cold air so I can have more air coming in too! Any help would certainly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard

With the CAI coming.. just get the O ring gasket for the throttle body.
Here's you a reference for it if needed..

As Mr. Miata said, just get the O ring and get it installed the same time as the CAI and it will essentially be plug and play... and don't worry, you won't see "fits Crossfire" in any descriptions of that throttle body since its from the larger Mercedes engines but as long as you got the right part# you shouldn't have any problems

Thank you very much! I ordered the o ring !
It should be simply right? If it's the right one should the mechanic just plug it in and put it on and the engine will adjust?
Thanks,
Richard
