Five year update: Go to post No 13
FONT=Arial]After owning a 94 Honda Del Sol Si AT for 12 years that I had planned to keep forever I ran across this 2004 Limited Coupe with 35K miles & had to have it. I have always liked the XF since they were new but couldn't afford one.[/FONT] My Blaze Red Crystal Pearl XF is in excellent condition with no mods. It does have chromed factory wheels. The car came with new tires, a new hood lift strut, new battery, car cover & bra. I purchased it from an independent car lot for under 10K out the door. Prior to the purchase I had an inspection at an independent MB garage where I received the best customer service that I have ever received at an auto repair facility.
I have been retired since 2007 & lived in Mesa, AZ east of Phoenix before moving to Fresno, CA. I have seen 4 other XFs in the area but haven't met any of the owners.
The Del Sol has been sold since we only have a 2 car garage & my wife's van shares the garage. We don't need 3 cars since we only drive each vehicle less then 3500 miles a year.
Check my gallery for pics.

2004 Coupe: I have now completed owning my XF for one year driving only 3012 miles. I have done the Sticky Key Fix, The RCM solder, Me so Horne & cleaned the Air Pump Relay contacts. Thanks to this forum owning my XF has been a really enjoyable experience. My battery is only a little more then a year old but with the XF electronics being sensitive I have been using a float charger & only tried to back out of the garage once with it connected. I have resolved a problem with my spoiler down limit switch. I have purchased a cabin filter, Bosch CPS, Mobil 1 & Mann Filter all with comments from the forum. Without this forum I would have a hard time affording such a great car or knowing what to take care of. It is the best car I have owned. Working on my XF is part of the enjoyment of owning it.

My roadster lives most of it's life in the garage with a trickle charger on it. I leave a note card on the drivers seat to remind me to disconnect the cable.
My 04 coupe spent most it's life in the garage still only 8467 miles on it. Always kept trickle charger on it. Battery just died after 11 and 1/2 years.Sept 03 to Feb 15. Keeping charger on new battery.

I, too, have an AMG Crossfire but it looks quite different. I'm not finished with it yet but I can't post pics, I have 2 laptops, one won't download pictures, the other one won't upload pictures. LOL Guess I'll have to get one of them fixed.
2004 Limited Coupe: Second year of ownership has been completed adding another 3000 enjoyable miles to my XF. My major project has been upgrading my passenger seat from 4 way to 8 way by installing a seat pan from a SLK 320.
I did my own oil change & had the transmission serviced including replacing the electrical plug adapter that was leaking. Bling was added to the XF with ZunSport upper & lower grills plus a MB air cleaner, MB gear shift **** & a Japanese Cherry dash kit. It has been another great year here on the forum.

I've now completed five years of ownership. I am now at 49,700 miles. Only 2,900 per year. Other then normal maintenance and custom touches the XF has been trouble free except for replacing a microswitch on the spoiler. Since my battery is 5 years old I am now finding the spoiler in the up position occasionally when starting the engine but so far I have been able to lower it with the switch. Time for a new battery.
This makes for a good read from post #1 to this most recent update. Your experience with the Crossfire is similar to most everyone here on the forum.; Enjoy the ride and keep the updates coming!
