I may be looking at a 2005 convertible at a private seller's. I am concerned about repairs, parts, etc. I live in West Boca, FL. If anyone can suggest a place, please do. Also, the asking price is 12.9K for the car which he claims is in very good condition. Does this seem high or on target? My name is Dan

 

Contact RED DOG in Key Largo and see if he will have a look at it for you.
If the seller is really motivated, he might let you drive it the 100 miles down there.
$500 deposit and a photocopy of your DL should suffice, or take him/her with you.
RED DOG has extensive knowledge, he is currently rebuilding 2 Crossfires he 'rescued'.

I have seen 12.5 for a really nice, low mileage coupe, pretty common for a roadster.

12.9 sounds fair, but condition and mileage will determine worth. 6 months ago I purchased a showroom condition 2004 with 46,000 for $10,000. Hope this helps.

 

TRY to keep in mind, you do NOT need a "Crossfire Mechanic" You need a MERCEDES mechanic.

If you buy the car, NEVER forget that.
