I didn't click through to the CL listing I posted.. but I'm guessing that is the one you referenced as pulled and most likely sold. So I was only making reference to another one for sale..
LOL.. just caught your nap time edit..
Edit again.. was just mentioned on FB .. "that" car is still listed..

Drove a coupe and a convertible today. The coupe needed more work than I am willing to do, made me sad to leave her though! Convertible is a bit out of my price range but loved it! Was also introduced to a SRT not for sale... Beautiful craftsmanship. So the search continues. The one in TN I believe is gone he hasn't answered my inquiry today. Half the fun of buying is the search I think so I'm still having fun.
It took us about 3 months to find the wife's roadster... had to be Aero Blue with vanilla interior.
Then when I was really looking for an SRT6 convertible her cars twin kinda fell into my lap with a price I couldn't say no to. I made an offer and he was like "no way".. well that rear window being loose sent a few off looking for another car. He decided my offer wasn't so bad and called me up.. LOL
Keep on a looking and she'll turn up eventually..

You are a kid to me young lady.... If you do your own oil changes, under 100 bucks, if you can solder, chase down electrical problems, read thru all the maintenance threads on here, you will do fine. Especially under 10k for the car. I don't buy cars to have to work on them. Kind of takes the fun out of it. My work is to make them faster, handle better, the things that go wrong just get in the way, so we do the preventative maintenance when working in that area. I haven't had to do much to my SRT's so far, so I can only speak on that model. I am sure I will in due time. Just be ready for it. It can happen. But, you only hear about the problems on here. Many, like me, haven't had a lot of the problems. But we have owned ours for some time. You will be buying used and a cheap price. So, it's buyer beware in this case. Good luck... young lady...

Hang in there. Over the years I have owned many, many uncommon cars. They are hard to find and often hard to sell. It is the patient informed buyer that will get the best deal.
I spent 15 years in search of my first TVR and 24 in search of my Triumph Stag. In this age of computerization, it only took me two years at a minimum of two hours a day to find my factory convertible Dakota but still nine months to find a daily driver recently.
I believe you will find the Crossfire to be a much higher quality car than the Mustang. I suggest you avoid an SRT6 if you are satisfied with the performance of the NA and get a Coupe unless you like wind in your hair. For investment purposes my advice would be the opposite suggesting a convertible SRT6 is the only way to go.
I would strongly suggest buying from the owner directly and avoiding any car without a documented history.
Be patient. Narrow down the field as to what style, the equipment and the mileage that would be ideal determine a rough price range be ready to compromise, then move quickly if you find something acceptable.
Good luck and keep in mind it really is much easier to sleep in a car than drive a house.

Looks like the convertible fever has been the ONLY topic of conversation at the house. I saw two convertible Crossfires in Tyler at different businesses I'm so jealous!
Florida seems to be a rich hunting ground for Crossfires, especially the roadsters. Try Craigslist.
You just have to slog through the different cities. Indeed, try states bordering Texas.
You're right that the search is fun. The weekend my wife and I spent going after the one we found
in Florida was a truly premium experience!

i am a 45 year old female gear head. I change my own oil, replaced my own plugs and wires, etc. I have to say as much as I love my Crossfire, it's been very expensive to maintain. The tires alone are just ridiculous. And it costs rougly $85 per oil change because you BETTER buy that nice fleece filter and it takes 8.5 quarts of Mobil 1 pure synthetic oil per change. Only certain (rare) dealerships can work on your car when something goes wrong. For instance, my tire pressure monitor system has gone out and I need to have it reset. I can't find a local dealer that has the machine to work on it. While I'm handy with a wrench as well, I don't have the capability to fix THAT. My sunvisor just broke on my driver's side - don't even get me started on how much they wanted for them (several hundred dollars?!?!) and then how hard it was to find one. Luckily I found a fellow owner who was selling his old ones. Also, we have no spare tire, there's nowhere to store one. So if you get a flat out on the road, you gotta call for a tow or have a friend pick you up and take your whole damn tire with you.
It's little things like that which cause me great pain and sadness. But then I get in and drive it and I forget all about that. :-) It drives like a dream and even at almost 200,000 miles she's still strong, quick, and beautiful - and turns heads. And if you're worried about getting groceries in it, you'll be surprised just how big that trunk area is!

I hate the fix a flat stuff. Just go to Walmart and buy a $10 tire plug kit and use the tire pump in the trunk.

It's almost funny.. "we" spend 6 hundred and up to a grand for a set of tires.. some annually .. but heaven forbid shell out $250 to keep a safety Item operating.. that should be good for the next 8 years or so.
Dallas cars and coffee.. Nascar weekend back in Dallas.. rain.. daughters brakes.. Avalanche detailing for sons prom.. list goes on as to why I haven't gotten back to the car with the DAS system.. But these in the car are proven to work already.. so at worst case I'm $35 bucks away from being done with 1 car if I end up visiting the dealer. Last trip there with my coupe and TPMS cost me 15K..
What does it cost to change the oil and filter on any car?? The difference is not that much . . . AND . . . you're putting the BEST synthetic oil available into your baby. That's partly why "at almost 200,000 miles she's still strong" . . . ENJOY your Crossfire!

The 5 quart jug of Mobil1 0W40 is less than $27.00 at Wal-Mart. The fleece filters are readily available for less than $10 (much less if you shop around and stock up when you find a deal). I'm calculating the oil change with your DIY labor at closer to $65.00 and you'll have some oil left over for "top offs" between changes.

Hey! We can totally agree on this one!
AND with a 7000 mile change interval you are really coming out the same.

LadyMills nice to meet a fellow gear head female! Our cash will hit the bank next Friday (I admit I got sidetracked looking at SLKs in my price range.) I have a sr6 in my sights provided it is still there when the money shows. Last Harley purchase the guy held for me and I wrote a check he held but I was local and checked the bike over. I like the styling of the Crossfire over the SLk it's just prettier. There. I said something girlie.
