Default Just bought a 2005 Limited Roadster

My name is Michael and I live in Southern Indiana. So far I love the car's performance and handling and looks. I'm sure I will have many questions as time goes by but my first one is about the radio, it absolutely sucks plus one of the rear speakers sounds like its been blown out. Anyone replaced their sound system and or speakers? Is this a common problem? What did you replace the original with? Any prices for this? Any help appreciated. Thanks Michael

There are more threads on here about replacing radios and speakers than you can shake a BIG stick at.

The speakers behind the seats have reached their end of life in virtually every one of these cars.

And almost ANY aftermarket head will probably out perform what the car came with - not being a "Debbie Downer", just telling the truth. My JVC head unit alone brought my car's audio to life!

There is also a bypass filter you can install on the front speakers behind the access panels in each door. There is a thread on the forum that describes exactly what to do. This upgrade will produce a cleaner sound using the factory OEM system. But sounds like you need to also replace/upgrade the woofers located behind the seats.

And welcome to the forum!
