Flexseal spray rubber
Has anyone tried using "Flexseal" spray rubber under their carpet as a sound deadening medium? I know there are other sprays for sound deadening, but just wondered if anyone has tried "Flexseal" and how it turned out.
Thanks,
Jim

never tried it for that, but i have used the liquid to seal a leaky valley on a roof. (so far so good.)
the tape i used around some roof vents, think really sticky, thick duct tape.
the spray? I wouldn't.
1. it will take time for it to fully cure.
2. if it isn't fully cured and you put the carpet back in, that carpet will never come out again.
3. there has got to be a cheaper solution.

Nunyadam - Thanks for the info. I didn't think about the drying time. That could turn out to be a mess. I've never used it before for anything. Good to know.
