Hi to everyone my name is Norbert..just bought my first crossfire the last Sunday.. couldn't be happier
I never been bothered with cars..had a Toyota Yaris for five years before the crossfire(still got the yaris tho )
But since I seen this car I fell a love with it.
The story is: my brother seen it on gumtree first and showed me.. I liked it straight away..but when I first seen it in the store car park..omg..
It's not a usual BMW Merc Audi etc 30 thousand £ sh.t..those cars just do me head in everyone can have it..nearly all of them with finance of course
Anyway..
So I seen it and was beautiful..and unique still remember the moment.
Went home just wanted get one..checked the insurance too..was too expensive so I thought might be a few years later.
2 years gone..and was curious about how my insurance would be..and went down to the really good price...so the last two months I was searching for the car.
And I found one.. wasn't far away from me low milage 2004 perfect condition no scratch no rust no dent on it..
There is only one thing the rear spoiler..the owner said he took the fuse off because didn't like the spoiler goes up and down..so we put the fuse back and didn't work..but the price was really good so I just wanted it even if the spoiler doesn't work.
Got home check the fuse..I realized we put the wrong one in it so I changed it to the right one the spoiler went up straight away..but didn't come down..was driving for a bit with a spoiler up stopped turn off the car..turn the ignition on and it's came down but not constantly.
Since then it always goes up manually or even when I get on the motorway..but very rare when it's come down and even if it does..does it slowly come a bit down stops comes a bit stops again till it gets down finally..
I went to my friend garage he plugged in the computer and said it's the motor..has anyone got idea what should I do with it replace it or just clean it..or any other ideas?
But except this the car is perfect.
Sorry for the long writing..but if it the crossfire and can't stop talking
Have a good day..and thanks for let me be a member.

As you describe the spoiler coming down as slow then stops for short time then down again, well that is normal descending of the spoiler. It should go up about 104 kph and down at about 72 kph. It is hard for me to say this with certainty, as i do not know how fast/slow your's is moving. but it does descend in steps.
Hi Zip439
It always goes up even automaticly when I drive with 104km/h or manually when I press the switch..but when it should come down by 72 km/hm never comes down automaticly the light start flashing. So the only way it coming down just manually..but even that is rare for example the spoiler is up for two days now but might be tomorrow it makes a decision and wants to work and comes down again..but even then the way it comes down defo not right moves down 3cm stop for 1 sec moves again stop again till it gets down. And as I seen on videos it should be comes down constantly as it goes up.
the thing is when I press the down switch you can hear for a bit the motor wanna works but still nothing to happen..
So defo something wrong there..any idea please?

Scousehungarian, What you said here is not correct; "but even then the way it comes down defo not right moves down 3cm stop for 1 sec moves again stop again till it gets down. And as I seen on videos it should be comes down constantly as it goes up"
I have owned my car for close to ten years and when I lower the wing with the manual switch it has always come down in steps, much like the way you describe as 3cm then pause, and 3cm and pause. That is completely normal.
I have never had a problem with the wing not retracting automatically at 72kmh, and it always works when I use the switch so I can't help you with that.
Hi zip439..
Thanks for your message and you are right I just checked more videos how the spoiler moves down..so my one moves on the right way.
Just to cover myself a bit the first time when I typed crossfire spoiler on youtube this is what came up..
So I seen this video and thought straight away mine moving on the wrong way...but now I see this is unique one..I'm still learning only got it the last sunday..
Anyway
But still I've got issue with it..so the only issue is I can't take it down manually and automatically either..
Might be it comes down only manually 1 time within 3 days..so this is my problem I can't take it down.
It goes up manually or automatically as well...no issue with that.
If anyone got an idea what can be wrong with it please let me know..
